Great North Week 7 Predictions From an Ignorant Guy

Stampede @ Cobras

The Stampede have not done as well this season as I had thought. They have struggled on the road quite a bit, this season. Although this is a short drive to SLC I still think they will show up short-handed, due to injuries, work schedules...

The Cobras blew me away last week!! 41-0??? Crazy!!!! They are on top now, and control their own destiny. They are looking to prove that a weaker schedule doesn't mean a weaker team.

Stampede 7 - Cobras 35

Gladiators @ Oilers

So apparently Jurasek can play just as good on one foot, as he can on two. The Glads are coming down this week to SASA for their out-of-conference travel game. They are looking to prove they are better than the Cobras, so they need to get a better points spread, on the Oilers than the Cobras just put on them last week. 41 points is a lot. But they've put up more in one game. Maybe they can do it again vs a demoralized Oilers team.

Oilers.... What can be said about the Oilers? You guys let me down last week.... WTF happened????? Y'all got completely dismantled!! I think something big happened at home, and they have made a turn for the worst. I don't see them bouncing back from that game.

Gladiators 42 - Oilers 3

Xtreme @ Warriors

The Xtreme are a good team. They have been hanging with the Gladiators this season. At least not losing by 40 points anyways.... If they travel well, I think they dominate this game.

The Warriors are struggling a lot this season. Only scoring 12 points in the last 4 games is killer. They are all but out of the playoffs, and can smell the sweet release of no post-season games. Just let it be over!!!doh

Xtreme 27 - Warriors 2

Monsters @ Outlaws

Both of these teams Are trying to get some momentum going into the off season, for recruitment purposes. The Monsters have a long drive. I'm sure there is some worry for a team that has a long drive, and no post-season hopes to play for.

Th Outlaws are looking to get to 2-4, and hopefully get one more lucky win later in the season to get some better recruits for next season. They have a shorter drive, so I give it to them.

Monsters 3 - Outlaws 7

Anarchy @ Mustangs

**GOTW**

Playoff implications here are staggering. While the Mustangs are the lowest ranked team in their division, if they win-out, there is a really good shot of being the #1 seed from the Idaho division. I think the Anarchy suddenly have 50 guys on the sidelines again, the Mustangs play their hearts out to get the win.

The Anarchy are coming off of two momentum building weeks in a row. A long road trip to GF and losing in the last seconds by 1 point to the top ranked team in the league, and then destroying the Outlaws. They are looking to be the #1 seed in Idaho to host in the playoffs. A win here can help to secure that. Because next week they host the Diggers, who have struggled on the road in in-conference play.

The Mustangs still have hopes of a playoff berth. Let's be honest, the #7 seed of the playoffs will be from the Idaho Division. So really the Mustangs just need 2 more wins to get the #3 Idaho spot to get the # 7 seed. But with 3 wins, there is the potential for a #1 seed from Idaho.

This is a bitter rivalry that goes back a long ways. And with both teams vying for the #1 spot, I think this will be a very intense game to watch!!
