How come there is no live scoreboard on this website?  Maybe i'm wrong, but isn't there supposed to be score updates called in to the league after every quarter?

Its like the Webmaster doesnt care. I still have seen no response to getting all the records and past league leaders put up!! And it would be nice if there was a photo album section. I was all optomistic about the new site but it has been very disappointing. Hopefully they get it together soon.

Correction,

The old Adminstration had one. But when Shane became involved in it , I believe it just went away as I recall.

Board Members turned down game day updates by quarter prior to the league kicking off in 2012.  The only requirement on score submission is that the home team submit the final score within three hours......

If there are any updates on game day it is because some members of the RMFL board and participating teams have taken it upon themselves to bring you the scores sooner or during the game.

If you want pictures on the website, have your team send them in and I will gladly post them. (G.M's have been informed of this)

As for historical league stats - I pulled whatever was on the previous site out and are saved for league review and reconciling. There is plenty to reconstruct, and still plenty of years missing.  This project has not been taken on by anyone and I am sure will not happen during the season.......

Correction, Shane is the one that brought the live score updates and it only went away this year with the new and improved site.

in my opinion, had we NOT complained and whined about OTHER things that were NOT on the OLD website, shane would still be here and would have never held the OLD website hostage because he felt so UNDER APPRECIATED. now we have JESUS and we're complaining about things that we HAD with shane and don't have NOW. so NOW we all wish we had SHANE'S system after running him off and doing the SAME THING we're doing now. the minority speaks and affects the majority. we had a guy that built our old website from scratch and we were on him so much that he quit. can we not learn from our mistakes? it's our own fault that we have a website that is created with templates. if we don't shut up and stop complaining, guess what will happen next year? we'll have ANOTHER new website, ANOTHER new webmaster and ANOTHER bunch of stupid complaints that really aren't that big of a deal. CAN WE REALLY NOT WAIT UNTIL SATURDAY EVENING TO FIND OUT SCORES OF OTHER GAMES? i'm sure that this is unheard of, unacceptable and our league will probably FAIL because of it. either step up and offer to take over the website and HELP make it better or find a way to deal with it. if not, we'll continue to get less and less because the guys that are willing and able will not want the headache. if the BEST employee gets a hard time, only the WORST employees will take the job when they leave.

The biggest problem with the live scoreboard is that everyone on the Executive Board is affilifated with a team of some sort except me and Sire who are reffing games. The best place for the live updates is www.twitter.com/rmfl_scores There are score and quarter updates there when they are provided.

The live scoreboard was first established by Jared N. I remember having my son, who at one time did stats for the Matadors, call Jared at the end of each quarter with the score. Jared then tried to hand it off to Shane in association with his new website. But Shane couldn't handle it just as he couldn't handle the stats. That's neither here nor there at this point. I agree with Jess that twitter is a better way of getting the scores out there now a days. Once again, I say thank you to all who are making the stat thing happen this year. I am quite pleased that most all of them are in in a timely matter.

Its really not that hard to use the left over more from the league meeting. BUY THE LEAGUE (not the staff) an Ipad. Use it there to create and personally see and show everyone how to not only create the twitter news feeder garbly gook, but also get every use to seeing it feed. At some point we just pop our specific tweeter feeds into the main page on game days. BOOM problem solved. You can thank me later.

Or snap, have hoop create you one, and then text your scores to Kyto and kyto will have Hoop update then for you. BOOM that just happened.

The church I go to has a great way to go about fixing these things.....If you have a complaint and want something fixed, you become the HEAD of the working committee to change it.

The teams that are going to report their scores during games usually do so on the message board.  Most GMs aren't too worried about reporting their quarterly scores, their usually more interested in winning their game and the production.

Just my opinion, however I will try to get ours posted on the boards quicker.  I know you Shock guys could care less about our score, but 2/3 of the league are AA players (UT Stealth's roster actually throws this estimate off!) and they may be interested.

Ever since Hoop and Kyto showed me twitter.... it's been curtains!!!

Like.. Put a fork in me cause I'm done, ya feel me??

It's the quickest way to get live updates so ya'll just need to hop on up the tweet-train..

Hell ya its possible. If you can thread a You Tube Video via HTML or Java into the message board, you can do the same with a Tweeter account to the main page....

Seriously...Just get one(1) person on the team to sign up on Twitter... twit your scores, we link the live feed of said scores and the problem is resolved. Can't really be that complicated.

The twitter feed is already embedded on the front page. Just need better updates from some teams and updates period from other teams.

This is not a website issue. The Twitter feed is there. would encourage each home team to create an account and assign an individual to periodically tweet the score throughout the game. it is faster that way.
