the human poll has 4 polsters in it. 2 from utah and 2 from idaho. I would like at least 2 more from Montana, but if we can get a total of 3 from each division, that would be awesome... basically, I am still looking for volunteers. here are the results:

Jess... good catch. I had an error on the excel sheet, but with all fixed, the numbers up top are the true ones.
people: this is all numbers. and with opp win % in there, you could move up or down with even having a bye and staying home. on the other hand, yes, more human polls added to the change as well which is why I need more volunteers to submit there rankings for this to be more accurate.
oh, and margin of victory or loss is not included in the calculation. just the overal wins, opp wins and human polls. I figured try to keep it easy...

I dont understand how the Oilers drop 3 spots in the rankings after a 42-0 win and the Stampede who had a bye week move up? Is it because of the added people in the poll?
Shouldn't all the Utah and Montana teams have close the the same Opp win % since they all have played each other. Idaho should be a bit different but for instance the Stampede, Oilers and Cobras should all have the same opp win % because they all have the same record and they have played the same teams.
Apparently beating the statistically worst team in the league holds less weight then staying home... Don't worry Oilers 66 you will have your chance this weekend to prove yourself vs Stampede.
Thank you thats all I wanted to know. I also know that because the Oilers are having their first 3-1 start that we wont get as much respect as the Stampede especially where they beat us in week 1. I was just curious how this rankings system works
Math confuses me. There, I said it. Where else can losing to a team, thereby raising Opp W%, make your YOUR OWN points go up? My head just exploded. Come to think of it, English is kind of confusing too. What's a past participle?
