There has been a lot of hate going on lately with the league and members there in. Posts of who is going to meet who where or people scamming a fellow league member out of a couple of hotel rooms. Just wanted to post some light on the league and some of the good things that have been done that have gone unnoticed.
We will start in Montana:
Bullets playing a big roll in the Special Olympics of Montana as volunteers
Phoenix bringing in Tim Tebow for a Habitat for Humanity home
In Idaho:
Mustangs hosting a free 2 week long kids clinic in Holt Arena
Diggers teaming up with Boise State for a cheer camp
In Utah:
Cobras vs Cancer
Uno Siete with his personal awareness of cancer
Dixie helping a fellow GM's family member move (Great Falls, the week that they played)
I am sure there is more that I am missing but this is just the ones I know. The league has good things going and the bickering of AA vs AAA, who has a bigger _____, and so on needs to stop.
C'mon, MAN!! No one feeds off of positivity!! Jokes, jokes... good post and you beat me to it. I'm just not that in touch with the stuff that goes on outside of my little bubble. Holy crap, I'm becoming a native Utahan, I need to go get "worldly" again.

I recommend keeping this thread alive. When a member or fan of this league does/witnesses/hears about a someone affiliated with the league doing something POSITIVE, throw it on here. Not just for our own feel-goods but the thread would turn into an informal executive summary of how we are trying to contribute to our communities and to one another.

I know the Sabercats game with the Generals this weekend is a benefit game with all proceeds going to Bronson Brown, who has been diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia.
This is true brad. Bronson Brown was diagmosed with Aplastic Anemia, and is in need of a bone marrow transplant. He is a freshman at Eagle high school, and may not ever play the game of football again. A few of the Generals are coaches at Eagle High, and know bronson personally. Coach Bubba's son played with Bronson, and that's how Bubba is associated with Bronson. Bubba thought it would be an awesome idea to team up with Jerry Smith and the Generals to move "our" home game on the 19th, from Ontario, to a closer facility to the hospital where bronson is at. So, we have been working on this for a little over 2 weeks, and it is all coming together great. I personally have received phone calls from people that have heard or seen flyers about this event, and they want to help. I think that is awesome, and shows the true character of some of fellow Americans. Our goal is to get 500 people out to the game this saturday, but I would love to see 750 plus fans, coming to show their support for this young man. So if there is any RMFL players that have a bye week on the 19th, I am asking that you try to make this game. I know for some it will be too hard, and I understand that All proceeds from the gate and concessions will go directly to the Brown Family to help cover medical costs. We will also be selling wrist bands with Bronson's name and football # on them. We are also going to have some auctions during the course of the game as well. We are accepting any and all donations as well. If you would like more information on this event, you can visit our website www.srsabercats.com or our facebook page, or you can even visit Bronson Brown's facebook page.
I think the benefit you are doing for this young man is a great thing and I wish you the best of luck in achieving your goals for him. With all the bitterness that this league appears to be infected with, it is refreshing to see some good hearts go out and do something for the love of his fellow man. I know you, and I know Jerry Smith. And I know that you are both men of high integrity and I greatly admire both of you for your efforts both on and off the field. I wish I could attend this event, but the Matadors will be traveling to Pocatello this weekend. Good luck, and even though I don't know Bronson, please give him my best wishes for a full recovery. I'm sure I speak for my Matador brothers as well.
