I had a lot of time to think about this--on my drive back from being on the recieving end of a butt-kicking.
I think I might include it in my upcoming magnum opus: A Child's First Book of Dirty Limericks.
It's a shame how your loyalty switches:
When we go on a "road" game, you ditch us?!
You let down your crew,
So a great big F*** YOU!
You dirty ****-sucking, sons-of-*****es!
Although penned with a measure of jocundity, this poem is, indeed, quite telling of the complex sentiments of abandonment and disillusionment with which I was beset, in that moment.
May it serve as a reminder to all and sundry, if you choose to "don the team jersey", you should do it for better, or for worse. Lest you risk the reputation of being a "Good-time Charley", as it were...
Agree......not sure who your are anonymous but completely agree........like I told a couple guys on my team, I didn't make a partial commitment to the team.......its frustrating when guys decide to do their own thing especially with a first year team that's already low on numbers.......it is understanadable tho if a family emergeny comes up......after all this is just recreational......but still agree.....nice poem too btw

I can't wave the "Hell yeah" flag at this too proudly because I missed 3 regular season games but yeah... if your team made it to the playoffs and if you didn't have a valid reason for missing the game, boo on you.
