The time has come....I have been waiting to write for this week for some time now. Monster games, and playoff implications and much much more. 63-19 overall on the year.
The time has come for teams to show their commitment, that commitment to excellence that truly separates the men from the boys, the posers from the imposers. Are you ready to impose your will on your opponent? To force them to take a step backwards as you step forward. To smile when they stand before you tired and sweating. To let them know that whether your at home or on the road YOU are ready to do what is necessary to inflict the proper amount of mental or physical harm on them to come out victorious...
Before I get to this weeks predictions, I want to leave those players competing this week with one final thought.
Playing football is a commitment to excellence. You do not give up simply because it is hard. You fight for every inch because you want it.
Week 10 Predictions
AAA Division
Rebels at Rev - Rev 28-16
The Rebels are the Rev's only loss on the season. But standing at the top of the AAA is where the Rev intend to stay. They are my pick to take it all this season so I'm going to say that they get revenge at home.
Shock at Stealth - Shock 20-14
I fully expect to see the Shock in this years championship game against the Rev so I don't see them losing focus in this game against a underachieving Stealth team. I also think Hoop has a few scores in this one.
AA Division
The interesting thing about the Montana Division this week (correct me if I'm wrong here) is that both the Gladiators and Bullets can win and the Bullets can end up #1 in Montana due to a season split with the Gladiators, and as long as they give up less points then them this week. The Gladiators are coming off the bye week and the Bullets the same due to a forfeit by the Knights. Both teams are going to be looking for shut out games to secure the Montana Division Championship. I'm going to predict a shocker that the Phoenix put up just barely enough points to cost the Gladiators the Division crown.
Gladiators at Phoenix - Gladiators 31-10
Gladiators look to keep their hopes alive for the #2 overall seed in the playoffs. They have to get a win here without giving up many points, as well as hoping that a few others teams lose and give up points. In the end I think they will give up a few scores but a big game from Jurasek gets it done in this one. This will be his first game against his old team this season due to an injury early on so look for a exciting one here.
Bullets at Snow Devils - Bullets 28-0
The Bullets get it done on the road in a game that will be much more physical then the score will look at the end. They take home the Division crown as well as the win.
The Utah Division Championship comes down to a two horse race ending this Saturday afternoon at Taylorsville High School. This game between the Sting and Cobras should be a fun one to watch. Many might say that the Sting jumped out early and handily beat the Cobras on both sides of the ball in their first meeting. It will be interesting to see how the Cobras respond at home this time.
Sting at Cobras - Sting 21-10
I don't see that many points scored in this one and the final score could be much lower in the end. But I see a run game of the Sting that is far superior to that of the Cobras. This will be the factor, as the Cobras rely heavily on the on arm of the young gun Wager. But the arm of veteran Brad Thurber and the balanced offensive attack gets it done again and secures the Division title for the Brigham Sting in their franchises first season.
Warriors at Vipers - Vipers 14-6
Both of these teams are playing for pride, and both do not travel well, that is why I'm giving this one to the Vipers at home. I will attempt not to jinx QB Greenhill again this week but I think that his savvy at home makes the difference in this one. These teams split the season series for the second straight year.
The Idaho Division crown has come down to the MONSTER match-up between the Generals and Matadors. Its ironic the Generals have scored so much all season but if they happen to lose in this one they could fall out of the top spot in the league given the right circumstances and could send the Idaho Division into a frenzy. Should be interesting...
Generals at Matadors - Matadors 27-21
Wow, what an absolute impossible game to predict. Two complete teams doing battle in this game. Two monster offenses and defenses game planning and looking for the edge. Not to mention rosters filled with top tier talent. I'm going out on a limb just to attempt to look smart here. I look at it this way, both teams have not faced an offense or defense like they will Saturday. BUT I give the edge to the Matadors secondary in this game, they will make a play when it counts most. I believe that they have the ability to shut down the passing attack of the Generals or at least slow it down enough to edge out a victory. I also believe that Pomerlee is skilled enough to get bye against the Generals defense. The Generals run game has been shut down by teams this year, but most of those teams didn't have the secondary that the Matadors have to stop the passing attack. Matadors pull off the monster upset. You heard it from Turk first.
Guardians at Bulldawgs - Bulldawgs 31-6
Bulldawgs will cruise into the playoffs with an easy victory in this one.
Diggers at Anarchy - Anarchy 37-14
Anarchy battle their way at home against a competitive and respectable Diggers team.
Vikings at Mustangs - Mustangs 40-0
Both teams are looking to end their season at .500 in this one. But the Mustangs are coming off of three straight shut outs against quality opponents and I see them coming out looking to score often and getting it done at home.
Well that is all for this week everyone...We have an eventful weekend ahead of us...Happy weekend of football to you all..TURK OUT! If you think things can't get worse it's probably only because you lack sufficient imagination.

Thanks for the FB posting! As entertaining as that was to read, I still am just shaking my head. I would like to see a camera crew follow TT around and just watch how he messes everything up. Dude is a classy guy. SMH.
It would be kinda like Jersey Shore, except the exact same thing.
