A few more weeks left in this odd, yet intriguing season. I believe it has been a success, I note the post by our friend Camulous about every game in the AAA seeming to be an all-star game, and agree, it has been a highly competitive and entertaining year!! Now the thing to focus on here is the fact that one of these games has great meaning for instance if the If the Rev win say 58-35 that would vault the Rebels from third to first. All the Shock have to do is win, but they could also lose and maintain first position with a low scoring game ( like the last game). The Stealth are fourth and certainly played like they had nothing to play for last week, just coasting to the playoffs, I maintain this is a very dangerous team. The Rebels and the Rev will most likely meet in the first round the question is where? And the ducks are rolling 2013 off into the sunset looking forward to the one league setup of 2014. There are really too many scenarios that can happen between #1-#3 to go through them all as any one of these teams could end up sitting in the drivers seat, however I do believe it will fall as it currently lies 1. Shock 2. Rebels 3. Rev. This week the Rev will be desperate for a victory so they can stay off that 150 degree turf and the Shock must continue to stay hot, with two games left after this if you misstep now it could mean another year of Status Quo, look at all the other teams that have faltered going into the playoffs…i.e. Peyton Mannings “almost” undefeated colts…
SHOCK @ REV
First and foremost congratulations to JK on a perfect game. I am unaware of this ever happening before in the RMFL however I could be wrong does anyone know? Regardless it Is special to be perfect. Also what the hell happened to the pregame fireworks??? Non existent!! I guess I should of never believed in the nonsense…
This is a game with all the weight of a hard fought season resting on its outcome! Both teams looked good last week. The Rev O looked very good I am very impressed with Branche, he has the ability to control a game (if allowed). Also Mapson was working at will seeming to be able to get whatever he wanted. The Rev D did not look great and the yards they gave up were bruising yards, the Rebels lined up and ran between the tackles at will, with a different look than we have seen all year from them.In defense of the Rev Reigning DPOY Levine Tupe was absent allowing the middle of the field to be taken advantage of. I think Levine is the glue that holds this team together and makes it tick his absence was huge! The Rev O moved the ball and put up points but timely turnovers hurt them!! If they turn over the ball against the Shock like that it won’t be much of a game!
On the Shocks behalf they have the best statistical defense and they play as a unit better than any other team out there. They largely shut down Steve Vincent and the entire O of the Stealth. They have really shut down every team in the second half of the season. The Shock O speaks for itself the best thing that ever happened to team Status Quo is George Allums, his development as a go to weapon has taken all the pressure off of Jordan and could very well be their ticket to the ship. Could he actually be a underdog for the league MVP? In my book yes but who am I?...Jordanwill continue to dominate the game last weeks perfect performance cannot be given enough accolade. However the Rev were the last team to make super Jordan look human, is that good or bad? Does it give the Rev confidence or does Jordan come extra focused this week to extract his revenge?
I like this match up I have to believe both teams will bring everything to the table to give themselves the best possible positioning for the playoffs. If I look at the last game the Rev D absolutely shut the Shock down, can they do it again? Or will the Shock come out with a chip on their shoulder remembering that shut out… The Shock are the hottest team in the league right now, but the Rev may be the most desperate add those two ideals together and you have yourself a barn burner of a game I look to see some points this week!!

STEALTH @ MUDDUCKS
Ducks had a bye last week and the Stealth mailed it in and took an extra bye week, so both teams should be well rested and prepared. I think the Stealth are very dangerous to whoever comes out of this weekend as the one seed, they have played every team tightly in at least one of the games and I believe they will come into the playoffs swinging. That is if they decide to get things back in the groove this week against the Ducks they cannot afford to walk into the playoffs in sleep mode. I believe the Vincent to Thomas connection is the most potent in the league and they can get you even when you know it is coming. I also maintain that this defense is better than they have played up till now.
The Ducks are at a low point and moving forward to a different league structure next year that will be more beneficial to them. If the Stealth come out and try to take another week off they could send the Ducks off with the biggest win in the Ducks season and a great way to leave off in a rebuilding process.
I believe the Stealth must win to get themselves back into rhythm for the playoffs, and the Ducks don’t have what it takes to shut them down.
