2013 AA All Stars

Below are the 2013 RMFL AA All Stars. Before all of the talk of those who got snubbed, I thought it might be helpful to remind everyone how we construct the teams. This year (like last year) we divided the All Star teams into Idaho & MT/UT/NV. The GM for each team submits 10 players (5 offense & 5 defense) in order 1-10 of who he thinks deserves to be an All Star. This isn't based just on stats are contributions on the field, this is whoever the GM thinks is deserving of the nomination.

Once we receive the lists, we compile and construct each team starting with each team's #1 choice and working our way down the list. Teams are granted a total number of players based on how they finished the regular season (the Generals & Sting were top seeds for each team, so they each received 6, the Gladiators & Matadors each received 5 and so on down the list). So, even though one team is sure their LB is the best LB in the league (and maybe he is), if the GM of that team doesn't submit him as a first choice, and 4 other teams have LBs as their first choice, that LB might not make the All Star team. As we say every year, it's not a perfect system, but it's pretty good.

This year is obviously a little different in that we are playing the All Star game the same weekend as the Championship game, so we've added some extra alternate positions. Once the semi-finals have been played and the All Star location and game time has been finalized, we will announce all of the details. We have decided to provide jerseys for each All Star player THAT COMES AND PLAYS IN THE GAME. We will give each player the option of buying and keeping their jersey for $10 (the league will cover the remaining cost of the jersey).

Here are your 2013 All Stars...
