I don't know that anyone cares about this, but I thought I should at least post it before the games this weekend. At the beginning of the year, as we were defining responsibilities we decided that I would be the AAA Commissioner and Doug Cook would head up the AA. The reason we did this was because I played for a AA team and he helped manage a AAA team--so we wanted to avoid any conflicts of interest.
The problem with our scenario is that I play for a AA team (and have my whole career), so I was only able to go to two AAA games (The REV vs. Ducks game on Friday night of SASA and the Shock/Stealth playoff game). So, we had decided that our familiarity with each division was more than enough to offset any potential conflicts of interest (especially since any major decisions are voted on by all 3 of us, and if we have a conflict of interest we remove ourselves), and that next year we would reverse those roles.
However, this weekend I will be playing in the AA All Star game in Boise and the AAA Championship will be held in St. George (where Doug lives), so we thought it prudent to make this change now. As always, if anyone has any questions or concerns, please give me a call....ok, feel free to go back to debating the AAA MVPs.
