Last week I did short and sweet picks, well that costed me... 6-2 with the Generals and Stampede proving me wrong, my fault for picking the Mudd Ducks to actually compete... This week which is Mothers Day weekend we have 6 teams who are on a BYE... And for my personal GOTW its a toss up on the Cobras vs Sting and the Shock vs Stampede.. Hope everyone has a good weekend off and to the ones who are playing here we go...
Gladiators @ Blaze
With the Blaze on a roll and striving to bring Montana back to the map face off against the Gladiators. Blaze have been steam rolling their opponents with the only hiccup coming vs the Matadors. With them hosting this week and it being an in state game I feel this one could be another steam roll. With Jurasek being 2nd in total yards passing he will look to increase his stats against a team that cant find itself. Jurasek will get it to Newbary a few times and stroll to an easy victory. The Gladiators are still trying to sniff the endzone for the first time this year... going on a 4 game scoreless streak which could be a record on its own, not one they would be on the boards bragging about I am sure. I dont think they even get close this week. Any defense takes pride in having a goose egg on the board, Blaze are no different.
Gladiator 0 - Blaze 42
Anarchy @ Bulldawgs
This game could be a sleeper. Both teams coming off shut out losses look to get into the winning zone. Bulldawgs are tough at home, and Anarchy have issues traveling, like other teams, and will do their best to upset the Bulldawgs. This will be a game full of mistakes so the scoring will be low. Both teams are doing what they can to make the 2nd tier playoffs. I feel the Bulldawgs will get it done with their passing game against the Anarchy dbs.. Scoring will happen but sloppy.
Anarchy 6 - Bulldawgs 14
Co- GOTW
Shock @ Stampede
This should be a great game, despite all the injuries that have happened to the Shock. Shock have a very tough schedule and could be 4-0 if the ball bounced their way. Shock will be relying on their offense to kill alot of clock cause their defense is wounded. Wagner has had good games but yet people are trying to say JK will save the day... I dont think its the offense nor Wagners fault. Its all a learning curve. They will gel this week against a Stampede defense who is very vulnerable to the pass. The Stampede come off a dominant performance against the Mudd Ducks last week. Jenkins and company look to keep the ball rolling to get into the 1st tier playoffs. Defensively they fly to the ball. They might give up some big plays and the strength is definitely the front 7. Dbs could be the factor in this one more than the Stampede want it. I have to go with the Shock finally getting the W this week
Show 21 - Stampede 17
Co-GOTW
Cobras @ Sting
This has some potential to be a great game. Sting shutdown Thorton and Hoop when they pulled the upset over the Shock. Now they are looking to shut down Hadley and Co. this time through. Sting have proven they are a force in this new AAA and looking to make a name for themselves even more. Thurber has a TERRIBLE qb rating but gets it done with the run game. This is a run first pass second team, and when they pass the get it to James Owens. I see the sting trying to make a statement on the Cobras 9 in the box happy defense. Cobras are coming off a loss to the Loco and look to get back on track. They will be looking to Hans Hatchette to keep this offense together and get the ball to his fave target Hadley with Illiot looking to get a few balls. But the Stings defense is stingy.. no pun intended.. And the Cobras defense is stingy themselves, they look to force you to make mistakes with not giving you a whole lot of time to let something develop. I am gonna have to go with the Sting on this one.
Cobras 10 - Sting 17
There you go. Not alot of games but, thats ok not alot of writing. Rumor has it the Sting is going to go at Mr. Gorilla20 this weekend. And arent teams suppose to get fined for not having matching unis?? If so I am sure the REV have a huge bill... For the teams traveling be safe and good luck gentlemen
My apologies to both organizations for missing that. Thank you Phynn for pointing that out.. Couldve been a Shame of the Week nomination there.
Rev @ Matadors
With the Rev traveling this week to the Matadors who are first in their Division (weak division might I add) they will look to keep their winning ways. Charlie and the Offense look good and meshing well with eachother. Now that all WR's are on the same page its a dangerous air game. Their running game is still iffy.. and they have added some people but its not all that talented in the backfield. Revs defense is still looking like the defense of old. They have Levine leading the charge and have a good supporting cast around him. Pretty solid Db core and Lbs are a good fit. Their Dl is always tough to block but fatigue is always a factor.
The Matadors are coming off a win vs the Gladiators and are looking to move their win streak to 3. Their defense is 3rd in the league in points allowed, led by David Wilson in tackles they look to keep that stat in tacts. Their offense has some work to do it looks like. Ryan VerWay seem to be the starter the past 2 weeks and they have won with him at the helm. Have a rushing attack of Serafin Camacho and Mitchell Bourner ( who was their qb for a moment) who look to show they can hang with the big boys on the Rev. If the Rev travel well this could be a one sided victory but, since really no team travels full squad this could be close. I am going to go with the Rev on this one. Their New Owners seem to be enjoying what Charlie built and take credit for that.
Rev 28 - Matadors 14
Cant believe I missed that game.. thanks again Phynn and travel safe with the Usos
Rumor has it... Solo has been having some super drinks the night before a game and they are doing wonders!!! Cheers

In my dream I saw a man dressed funny holding a red sheet of some sort...the man was drowning in a sea of red...the more he fought the more the waves covered him...it was scary...each time the man was able to pop his head out of the thick red water...he would yell ole instead of help...in the end after a long and brutal fight...the man laid helpless on a field of green grass with white markings...what does this mean?

Other than the Gladiator Blaze game I expect all the other games to be closer than most think. I would love to see the Shock Stampede game. Both teams are almost identical to each other. I think the Matadors will give the Rev a decent game in Boise and may sneak a couple touchdowns in but to beat the Rev you have to match points and there is only a couple teams that can score what it takes to stay with them. The Bulldawg Anarchy game could be a good game if the Bulldawgs get the QB situation ironed out and come up with a good game plan. And the Cobras Sting games are always good so should be a good weekend for RMFL ball. Good Luck everyone.

"...The new owners seem to be enjoying what Charlie built and take credit for that..."
To reply to this statement I first want to thank Charlie for what he has built and for the opportunity to be apart of this group of amazing guys. I also want to thank the Wasatch Revolution for welcoming me and my staff into the rev family. I am sure this is not stab at me statement, just wanted to respond and let my guys know that I am happy to be apart of a great team.
That be perfection boys. I lay it str8 but no bodis want to play it realz.

Jenkins my boy an he an them stampede sling it like it real.
Sting rollin too.
Haterz cant deny my gr8ness anymore
It would be "greatness"...if you didn't type like you had one finger...nice of you to use a numerical number to sound out the part of word you can't spell...genius if you ask me...The Shocks will make a come back...mark my words...I know people needs a team to beat up on the forums...for a while it has been AA teams and the Mudd Ducks...but now sence the Shocks hasn't won a game...they make for a easy target...but history shows that the Shocks has always been at the top...so they are allowed to have a down year...
One of my favorite quotes...
"You hear the one about the lion? You got this lion. He's the king of the jungle, huge mane out to here. He's laying under a tree, in the middle of Africa. He's so big, it's so hot. He doesn't want to move. Now the little lions come, they start messing with him. Biting his tail, biting his ears. He doesn't do anything. The lioness, she starts messing with him. Coming over, making trouble. Still nothing. Now the other animals, they notice this. They start to move in. The jackals; hyenas. They're barking at him, laughing at him. They nip his toes, and eat the food that's in his domain. They do this, then they get closer and closer, bolder and bolder. Till one day, that lion gets up and tears the sh*t out of everybody. Runs like the wind, eats everything in his path. Cause every once in a while, the lion has to show the jackals, who he is." (Poolhall Junkies)
