1.Rebels 8-0 or 7-1 I dont see them beating the Rev twice.
2.Rev 7-1 or 6-2 They could pick up the 1 seed with this win.
3.Blaze 7-1 or 6-2. The Shock can travel just fine. But the Blaze are better than what they showed last week. And they get a gimmie at the end of the year.
4.Sting 7-1 Not going to lose to the Stampede on their home turf.
5.Stealth 6-2 or 5-3 They are going to whoop the Generals at home and who knows on the Shock rematch.
6. Anarchy 5-3 Idaho is really weak this year. Luckily they will get to Host a really strong team at home.
What we do know about the AAA playoffs? We do know these will probably be the teams in the AAA playoffs? The Rebels and Rev have the 1&2 about locked up. 345 seeds could all move. And the 6 seed will go to an Idaho team. It could be the Generals at 4-4 if the Anarchy lose one game. But if the Anarchy lose their next two they could bump out the 6 seed in the lower playoffs. But honestly who cares about the Idaho teams..
Also i could be WRONG on this whole thing ... I didnt spend that much time.
Projected Finish
AAA (Almost)
1.Locos 5-3 Have two gimmies on left their schedule.
2.Cobras 4-4 Got a tough one left and then the Ducks
3.Logan 4-4 Its going to be tough to beat the Sting at their place
4.Generals 4-4 Generals will get the Matadors last game of the year.
5.Matadors 3-5 If their DBS could catch they would have beaten the Anarchy and taken their spot
6. Shock 2-6 or the Duck at 2-6 I see the Shock winning won of their last two. And sneaking in the playoffs !
Have you been watching Jess Peterson put the playoff potentials up there? 1-4 are automatic seeded.
(Trust me, I wish the league decided to take top 6 teams regardless of record, but that's not what was voted. However, it's probably in best interest of league to keep as is. REV are just working like crazy to make sure we don't have to travel!)
thank you for your calcification. However Jess has not put a single thing about how teams will finish the season. he has current seeding, I however posted the term PROJECTED finish.
It sucks for anybody that has to play against the wildcard...whether it's the Rev or the Rebels......both teams are obviously looking to secure home field and minimize travel.
Starting with the Sting/Stampede game next weekend; then the Stealth/Shock, Rev/Rebels, and Generals/Dors on June 7th--A LOT of things could still be juggled around...and that's just in the upper tier playoffs.
The Shock are still fighting for their post-season lives in Missoula next weekend. The Idaho Trifecta of Generals, Matadors, & Anarchy are still mathmatical possibilities for Tier 1 and whichever doesn't go to Tier 1 will be Tier 2 locks. If the Stampede can upset the Shock, not only does that make the Stealth VERY happy, but probably locks the Stampede into the #1 seed of the Tier 2 playoffs (because of their head-to-head win over Laurel the first game of the season--seems like a long time ago).
I believe only the Gladiators are officially eliminated from any playoffs so far, although the Bullets & Bulldawgs would seem to be headed that direction.
As I said at the beginning of the year, with this new structure, there are sure to be unintended consequences (we can place the Shock's strength of schedule at the top of that list); but hopefully overall it makes for a more enjoyable experience for players and fans as a whole and sets the league on a more stable foundation to move forward. A couple of more weeks to see how things line up for the post-season push!
Everyone be safe and enjoy a weekend off of the football field.
