Vipers @ Oilers

Vipers are coming off a pretty big win against the Guardians last week. They are showing that they do have the athletes to get points on the board, but the Oilers have a good enough defense to stop them. The Oilers are still undefeated and I really don't see them finishing the regular season with a loss to go into their bye-week. Oilers 21 Vipers 7

Lancers @ Guardians

Guardians are coming off a devastating loss to the Vipers. They have been riddled with injuries all season. I see them coming off strong trying to finish off their season on a good note. The Lancers are coming off a big win against Elko, and are planning to use that momentum to finish off the season strong. In the end the Guardians give a good fight, but come up short. Lancers 42 Guardians 3

Diggers @ Warriors

Both of these teams are coming off of losses. The only difference is that the Diggers are coming off a 1 point loss to the number 2 team in AA. This is a huge momentum builder. But can it make it all the way to Elko? Either way they can't get into the playoffs but it would be nice to finish off the season with a win. Especially to a team that you lost to at home earlier in the season. Elko has a lock on their playoff dreams, and they want to face off against the Vipers in the playoffs, so they will try to get the win and hope they can get the SOS to get the #5 seed. (not sure who has greater SOS, but that is what they would try for). Elko 21 Diggers 17.

Mustangs @ Snowdevils

Mustangs are coming off a tough loss to the Oilers. And they are going to play hard to keep their #3 seed in the playoffs. The Snowdevils are locked in at #2 so it would seem that the Mustangs will want the win more than the Devils. The Devils are not a team to just lie down and call it quits and wait for the palyoffs though. They will play hard and don't want to lose in front of their home crowd in the last game of the regular season. It will be a close one, and will come down to who controls the ball best. This will be a defensive struggle for both teams and be a low-scoring game. Mustangs 120 Snowdevils 120 (very low-scoring)

Vipers @ Oilers - Rumor has it that Idhe hurt, possibly broke, his arm last weekend in Holt. If tthat's true then the Oilers may not find much offense, even at home. If that's the case the Vipers will be dangerous since they are now the highest scoring team in the league.  If Davis can travel well and get on the scoreboard early, and there is no Idhe, then they're sure to play spoiler to the Oilers. Whether Idhe is good for the playoffs or not they may sit him this week anyways with no real implications for them from the games outcome.

Vipers 20   Oilers 6

Mustangs @ Snowdevils - Mustangs seem to have not been able to find a consistent stride this season taking one step forward then two steps back. I'm not sure if they will go up to Montana this week wanting to steal one from a team that it doesn't really matter to. Their loss to the oilers was a much closer game than the shutout would indicate, but they still make those kind of mistakes in crucial situations. This week they play a team that either doesn't make those mistakes or finds a way to overcome them. GV has won two 1 point games on the road this year along with a 5 point victory @ Mustangs, so they win close ones. Their last two home games they've won by a combined score of 126-0. That is why my money is on that team to finish the season strong.

Mustangs 12   Snowdevils 39

Lancers @ Guardians - Lancers have been on a tare lately winning 3 of their last 4 with that only loss to maybe the best team in all the AA. The Guardians are coming to the end of a season that has been a long road. At home I think they might actually get on the board this week and finish the season strong for their fallen brother and teammate. What they did all year was more than commendable to say the least. But in the end it's the Lancers on top.

Lancers 25   Guardians 6

Diggers @ Warriors - I really can't see the Diggers getting enough momentum out of a moral victory last week, and it may have been the devastating blow of no playoff hopes that hampers the Diggers travel numbers in the final week of the season.

Diggers 9   Warriors 20

Vipers @ Oilers

Battle of the possibly injured, possibly not injured quarterbacks. Oilers proved they are the cream of the crop in Pocatello last week and have their playoff spot locked up. Vipers have been playing tough lately and have gained some momentum. This game comes down to how long the Oilers play their starters, if they play the whole game Oilers win, if they decide to rest a few around half time the game could slip away from them. In the end Oilers 21 Vipers 17

Lancers @ Guardians

Poor Guardians, what a tough season it has been for them—my hats off to the players as they have hung in there and shown up each week. Lancers are ironing out the last of the wrinkles and are primed for their playoff push. They win this one handily. Lancers 34 Guardians 0

Diggers @ Warriors

Heartbreak for the Diggers at home last week, but they showed that they can play with any team in AA. Warriors looking to rebound and hit the playoff road on a good note. If Diggers travel well I can see them taking this game but given they are on the road the Warriors pull this one out. Warriors 24 Diggers 17

Mustangs @ GV

Was last week an anomaly for GV, or is it a sign of things to come?? Let’s call last week, for both teams, a case of post bye week hangover. I envision this one being a hard hitting affair that is a Defensive struggle. With the #2 see locked down does GV rest their starters? Probably not as they rediscover their groove this week and get ready for the playoffs. GV 24 Mustangs 14

Safe Travels to all and God Bless

I am trying to figure out where the rumors of Jake breaking his arm started??? I will go and ahead and say that he did cause that adds more drama in the game that already has a ton on saturday. Good luck to all teams this weekend, I would love to see the Mustangs get the win up in Montana, besides a couple of guys on the team that take a rew shots at players they are a damn good group of guys and i wish them nothing but sucess!
