Are ya'll serious with this "next year schedule" crap? Let next year work itself out when it is supposed to - NEXT YEAR!!!
There are going to be some exciting games this weekend. While I fully expect St. George and the Stealth to crush the #3 and #4 seeds respectively - there's always a chance for an upset. Last time I was in Arco we had a goal line stand to win the game.... good luck with that game Dixie. There is literally NOTHING in Arco but a convenience store/grocery store that is the size of Mini Me's bedroom. And who knows, the Blaze might be a totally different team than the one the REV faced here in SLC. We all know how big of a deal travel is - that's why the structure of the regular season was so critical.
I'd love to hear more about what's going on THIS YEAR - and all the incredible accomplishments that have occurred over this year than to start speculating on what may or may not happen next year.
Mr. Stott - Dixie is an integral part of the league. The Wasatch REV and Dixie Rebels are tied at the hip insomuch that we both came in to the league at the exact same time. There's no question the RMFL has some issues - however, it's supposed to be about FUN! Yeah, I know, it's not much fun when the league is set up to favor teams in Montana and Idaho - but hey, it could be worse - we could only have 5 teams in the AAA with a losing team winning the championship. As part of the ownership of the Dixie Rebels, I would suggest you have some alternative solutions to the problems. Scheduling being one of them. However, at least in this format, that's not going to happen - unless the 1-7 Shock win the "Tier 2" playoffs, which by the way, I fully expect to happen.
Focus on this year league. There's still an awful lot of football to be played - and why water down an experience that is happening right now - the PLAYOFFS!
I only watch the games, but this year has been more interesting with more teams in AAA. Although last year was fun, I enjoyed watching the Stealth win the Championship with a losing record.
I think Chuckpitas predictions are right on for this week.
The Stealth have a hell of a road to travel if they want to 3peat. Montana Blaze, Utah Rev, and Dixie Rebels.
