This is some of the biggest BS I've ever seen. I've heard nothing but BS from the league and it's representatives about this situation.

The Rebels GM submitted appeal and film and followed the process

One of mine was in the Pre-Season so really has nothing to do with the season!

Actually it does. All games sanctioned by the RMFL follow the same rules from the constitution. A few players were penalized during the preseason including a lineman from the Rebels

" I offered the exact same thing to the league on both of my penalties, to show what actually happened and not the "perception" of the refs that by the leagues admittance are wrong quite often. No-one was even remotely interested in the truth. Now, the league went as far as to send this video to other officials across the nation to "find out how they would deal with it". So yes, i'm feeling some type of way about this."

I haven't seen any tape submitted by you or your GM (who is supposes to be submitting Appeal if he deems necessary)

"Sounds suspect when you allow them to act however they want and hold the rest of us to different standards.."

Are you saying that the Rev have been held to a different standard than everyone else? If so, then we can have that discussion.

"You swear on the field= $100 fine and half game suspension, without anyone ever taking the time to look at the video." "You guys sit and talk about how I got 3 personal fouls that's why I was suspended and Misi blah blah blah..."

No, You get 3 unsportsmanlike penalties and you get a 1 game suspension and a $100 fine. That means you were warned at least 2 times before being punished!

Against my better judgment we reduced it half a game.

"Ya'll been hoodwinked and don't even know it"

Interesting how quickly you forget when people do things to help you. Remember our conversation at the beginning of the year? Your boy?

Jeremy, I know your a good guy but when you criticize the league (me included) without all the details I WILL RESPOND.

 Sarge,

Read my last post you'll see what happened to the game tape, why you never received it. You know the issues with our G.M. so no need to try to question me why you didn't get it from him. You have my phone number and I know Jess talked to you about the situation so anyone could of called me to get my side. In fact I called him and sent him an exstensive email on the whole situation, especially the second penalty. That email included the link for the video that shows what happened and clearly you can see the ref watching but, no flag until I swear? C'mon brotha.  If your going by the constitution then let's put in their the appended rules for both pre-season counting towards the season, also that part about "if it's reactionary it's not the same penalty". Being warned and being flagged are two different things.. If their was enough respect the ref would give a warning and if I did it again well, penalize me. Personal fouls for swearing when no kids, fans or other players can hear besides the two involved seems kinda excessive. People and even coaches swear at me ALL GAME, talk ish, say derogatory comments to me and never have they been flagged, NEVER!!!!!!! Only because ya'll so focused on what the "bad guy" does to respond.. So maybe it's just me held to a different standard... I'm a lil confused why it would be against your judgement if you didn't get the chance to see the video that would show you what happened? Never been in a fight on the field, thrown a punch, never been suspended, fined or any thing of this nature, not even a cheap shot on any one out of bounds, so no real drama from me except I talk ish? I NEVER forget when someone extends love to me, I don't take it lightly either. So, I have mad respect for you Sarge and I do remember what you did. I was able to play one more year with my son because of you. You made a petty man be a grown man (you know who), so yes I appreciate you. But, when you look at it I should be able to hold you to a higher standard because of the interactions we've had.  So I apologize if I held you and Jess and this entire league to a high standard and expect the most out of you. That was what I was frustrated with, I know the kind of men you are and don't feel like you lived up to what I expect from men of your stature. Anyways if you want to have a conversation feel free to call me, you have my number and we can chop it up about how I feel. Without all the internet gangsters there to instigate..

NOw I'll shut the Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugggggggggggggggg up!!! see ya'll Saturday..

Regardless of who it is, in my eyes a rule is a rule regardless of who it is and that's how I vote unless there is solid proof to prove otherwise in the appeal. Feel free to ask Brad or Jess.

Lets let it ride for now. No use in talking about it now. It will only be extremely counter productive.

Respect and expectations goes both ways.

Ill come find you before the game and we'll have a friendly chat

If u wanna be the best u gotta beat the best.. I saw no game tape or know any one on either team I'm just a 5'6 AA QB that probably weighs as much as missi thighs.. but this Def has pros and cons but as a competitor I would want Messi to play if I was on the Rev so there's no excuses and it's all left on the field.. and I believe that the way jess went about it by having multiple officials and them coming to a conclusion is the right choice.. but also a guy like Messi shouldn't put himself in a situation like that especially since he's a big part of this league.. and most Teams would toss a player after having 3 personal fouls in a season no matter what the circumstances, we're all adults and especially us Lil guys via oilers we play for respect.. well there's my 2 cents.. good luck to all those participating this weekend travel safe!! #Oilernation

My response: You were at the game and witnessed it, so you saw everything? You saw what happened in the pile? You heard what was said? No you didnt, we as officials don't see everything (NEWSFLASH!) and sometimes what we see and what we think we see are two conflicting things. That's why there's instant replay in football as you well know.

Ok I get that part so if he did nothing wrong why can't he get the MVP if he deserves it?? If it was that bad of a call then why does he still have the punishment??

Sometimes, (and I know you'll find this shocking) we as game officials make bad decisions. Perhaps more often, we fail to put ourselves in the best of positions, or fail to attempt in preventing bad things from happening.

Yes I agree, but as a ref the commish should stand behind you. You get the bad with the good. If it was that bad of a call then the ref should hang his whistle and never ref another game in any league. I as a ref know I have butchered calls but have never ejected someone without seeing first hand something that would warrant an ejection. 1st string or 3rd string it doesn't matter you don't just eject someone.....

"Also admitting you make mistakes opens a whole other can of worms. So can teams get games overturned because they submit film for bad calls? "
My response: No... bad calls are a part of football. Always have been, always will be. Bad calls are not subject to an appeal process in the RMFL, the owners are too smart to vote in such an idiotic idea.

Ok explain the $50 rule infraction for the unflagged unsportsmanlike penalty?? Or the video review of this "punch". The "punch and ejection was a bad call but has been overturned with the appeal process in the RMFL...

"Wow what a joke of a league, who is in charge?"
My response: The RMFL is in better hands than its ever been, just ask your owners. Were you around in 1999 when the league was started? I was... it's come quite a ways since then. In 2000, I literally showered at a car wash across the street from the football field after playing the Wasatch Wildcats in Utah because there wasn't a locker room and i wasn't staying the night at a hotel. Trust me when I say that Brad, Sarge, Jess, Jared and the boys are doing a fine job.

I will say this is a first for the league, but to make it better things like this need, to happen and I am guessing next year some rule will be applied.....

My response: Wouldn't be the first time (nor will it be the last) that I've been told that I need glasses. Yes you're right, it doesn't matter one bit if even 100% like it. Coincidentallt it doesnt matter that you hate the decision. We made this decision based on what's fair, nor what's popular.

That's fine and dandy but to make this an even better league next year you can take some forum discussion and learn from it....

"WOW slap in the face to all referee's out there. You hired him to ref the game for a reason. The ref who you had faith in to ref the game now you don't have his back?? Obviously officials make great calls and bad calls depending on who the call is against. To come out and say this official threw Messi out because he didn't see what happened.

My repsonse: Jess, myself, and Jared, all have complete faith in our officials, and yes we have their back. They ruled as best they could have, based on what they saw, but in this case, there were many many things to consider that not one or even two officials could pick up on without the use of film.

Your lack of faith is portrayed on the whole game film. The ref was a lot closer to the situation then any camera plus I bet your camera didn't get any language that was used. Like I said as an official I would love for the commish to privately tell me what a bad call it was, in this case a horrible call and take my flag and whistle away and tell me to retire... Like I said the ref is human you take the good with the bad except in this case. All this could of been resolved with the simple he is appealing the suspension we will look into July 2nd....

My response: We're not calling anyone incompetent, except mabye you. Who's incompetent when YOU can't even get his name right? Messi is a soccer player. It's MISI Tupe that we're discussing. I hate to break this to you, but there's not a long waiting list of guys wanting to "run the league." Feel free to apply.

Where do I apply???

My response: Exactly, the game film doesn't lie. Like I said, what the refs saw is only part of the equation, the other part is what the refs didn't see and that's not necessarily their fault.

Like I said you get the good with the bad, I don't think this ref just started throwing people out at random. He must of seen something or heard it. Just think the ref that threw GHOST out which was Jess if we go back and review the film I bet you don't hear the F*** bomb at all. Game film doesn't lie, then tell him he made a bad call, I bet he would say I heard what I heard I saw what I saw I called in the way I was trained to do......

The bottom line is this. The proper process was followed, player was suspended, team appealed, evidence acumulated and submitted, evidence reviewed by unbiased league staff, staff worked through the shades of gray that Sarge mentioned, penatlies reduced after CAREFUL consideration of ALL of the facts and ALL of the evidence provided.

So if you found nothing wrong and this guy deserves the MVP after the game he should be allowed to win it, the sweeping it under the rug seems a little suspicious and makes it even worse. If there was nothing wrong or they found the review didn't warrant the penalty why keep the punishment on MISI TUPE?? To keep 50% happy?? By doing that you are still punishing Misi for doing nothing??? Just saying....

Dear Sarge,

I really like the rules on suspensions for vulgar language & unsportsmanlike penalties.  Other than 3 total personal fouls, could we make an additional amendment making 2 in a single half punishable somehow, maybe a fine?  It seems one leads to another shortly there after for some guys, and maybe there's an extra incentive to let cooler heads prevail.  I personally know we have a player or two that would definitely benefit greatly from something like this to aid them not make a bone headed play or decision in an important game.  It should be about the game play on the field inbetween the whistles, not jabbering or extra caricular activities between plays.  And if guys can't respect or adhere to that kind of mindset do we really want or need them out there until they've learned their lesson?  Everyone has a momentary lapse in judgment occasionally, but again, we're only talking about multiple/repeat offenders here with this right?

By dealing together, you both can address problems of self-esteem and mutual trust. Thus, if the muscles in the penile area are relaxed, more blood will enter in the penis and a harder erection will occur.
