The WIFL (Western Idaho Football League) was a great idea on paper for those players in the boise/treasure valley area. They pretty much copied everything the RMFL does and wanted to do it without the travel. However, the real story is the guys that started it were dude's that have not just LEFT the RMFL, but in actuality been KICKED out of the RMFL. Like how if guy's get their ego's hurt in the RMFL they just start a new team? These guys decided to just start their own league.

TO their credit, it was a great idea at the time and probably still is, but they bring to much baggage and a such a bad reputation with them that it will most likely never happen through them. If somebody else ran the show, it would be a success.

They do run a fantastic flag football tournament though every August.... snow cone stand and all!!!

dozer60 is partly correct, i was never involved with the rmfl althought originally we had a few board members who were, now in 2014 we just focus on the flag games and tourneys so the WIFL is for Western Idaho Flag League now. this year we are doing a big womens tourney it gives the women who supports us during our season a chance to get out there and have a blast doing what we love and they actually get a bit more aggressive than the men lol. and yes we have vendors on site and the sno cone shack will be back as well as beer and wine this year for the fans.
