Playoffs?  Playoffs!  We're talking about playoffs?!?

Let's start with the AAA.  The Northern Conference is still very much wide open.  While the Loco Express (5-2) are technically the #1 seed, the Mustangs (4-2) have the head-to-head tie break.  So, while the Loco Express will be BIG Anarchy & Bulldawg fans the next two weeks, if the Mustangs take care of business, they will be the #1 seed come playoff time.  Speaking of the Bulldawgs & Anarchy, they are currently #3 (Bulldawgs 3-3) and #4 (Anarchy 2-4) but have a very precarious lead over the Snow Devils (2-4) and the Gladiators (2-5).  With the Gladiators & Snow Devils playing each other the last week of the season, only one of those teams can get to three wins; and if the Snow Devils were able to win out could still get into the playoffs with a 4-4 record (depending on how the Bulldawgs & Anarchy finish out).  Theoretically, if the Snow Devils, Bulldawgs, & Anarchy were to win out and the Mustangs lose their last two games, you could have 4 teams at 4-4 and one of those teams on the outside looking in for the playoffs.  The last two weeks are VERY important in the Northern Conference.

In the AAA Southern Conference, the playoff picture is much more clear.  The Lions, REV, Sting, & Shock are in.  Because of the Sting's head-to-head victory over the Vipers, even if they lose the next two games, they would be the 4th seed.  However, the seeding is still very much in the air.  Obviously the Lions are heavily favored to be the one seed; but it's possible, if the Sting were to win out, that they could be the #1 seed with a 7-1 record and head-to-head victories over the Lions & REV.  If the Sting were to lose to the Lions and beat the REV (and the Shock were to beat the Stampede), all three teams (Rev, Shock, & Sting) would be 6-2 and the strength of schedule tie break would have to be used to determine the #2, #3, & #4 seed.  If the Sting were to lose their last two games, they will be the #4 seed and travel to St. George to play the Lions in the first round.

In the AA, it would appear that the Warriors (5-0) are in the driver's seat, but with games vs. the Outlaws (1-5), Diggers (4-1), and Oilers (4-2), they could still drop to the #3 seed if they lose all three games.  Because the top 3 seeds (Warriors, Diggers, Oilers) all play each other in the final two weeks, the AA playoff seeds are still completely up for grabs.  Even the 0-6 Guardians could still qualify for the playoffs, if they were to pull off the unlikely and win their last two games against the Outlaws & Diggers.

For the Bowl Game (formerly knows as the AAA Tier 2 Playoffs), in the Northern Conference; unless the Matadors win out (vs. the Anarchy & Bulldawgs), it would appear the first round match up will be whichever two teams (currently Gladiators & Snow Devils) miss out on the playoffs will be playing in the first round.  In the Southern Conference, the Vipers will host the first playoff game against the winner of the Stampede/Stealth match up the last week of the year.

As a reminder, the AA Championship, AAA Bowl Game, All Star Game, and AAA Championship Game will be held June 27th at Weber State University.  We will have more details as we get closer.  Enjoy the last couple of weeks of regular season; it's just starting to get interesting...

I believe that would be a 3 way tie and it goes to strength of schedule.

If the Sting beat the Lions and lose to the Rev---

The Lions would have the head to head over the Rev with a loss a piece.

The Sting and Shock would have the same record assuming the Shock win this week, which their seeding would be determined by SOS because they did not meet in the regular seeding.

If the Shock lose, they'd be 4th. In that scenario...

The only way Lions don't get #1 is if the Sting win out..

They key to getting in the Final Four is to join the Northern Conference.

The 5th or 6th Southern team can hang with the top 4 Northern teams..

Yeah what he said lol. Wasn't thinking about the stingpage loss earlier in the year. And with the stampede beating the mustangs shows that the 6th ranked south team can hang with the top of the north teams.

So in all fairness, wouldn't it be a legitimate punishment to exclude the Anarchy from playoff eligibility since they FORFEITED a game by CHOICE? I mean, who's to say they won't forfeit a playoff game if someone happens to get married, or their is some kind of potato convention going on? Just saying....

Bryce, no one cares.

Forfeits are bad--- but then conversations start go like...

Forfeits are bad, but at least it's not in the playoffs.

Then it goes.. well we wouldn't want Montana to travel to Saint George! Cuz that'd be bad... but it'd be different if it happened in the 2nd round, not the 1st.

Well, you know how I feel about it. I miss your mug.

Saturday can't come fast enough Kyto.     I hope Logan turns on the good weather Saturday haha!

P.s.  I still think its a valid punishment!  But hey, maybe that's because I don't play for a team that forfeited by choice.
