Jaye is doing a great job revamping the website. I know one of the hopes was to make historical information available and Jaye has been working on an "Archives" tab. Below is some of the information we are trying to fill in. Anyone happen to know some of the Offensive & Defensive MVPs during the Rhino Raider dynasty? I suppose we could just list "Dave Stireman" as the perennial Offensive MVP...
I think Neumeire could have a lot of that info (if he kept any of those records). His accurate account of events and his memory has always been a bit faulty though, given his age and all. In fact I would say his memory may have faded even more so than his arm and legs, and that's saying a lot!
I can tell you with certainty RB Ramos of Treasure Valley won the 2004 MVP, and I believe they also had the D-MVP that year (not sure if it was Jockumsen, could have been a DB?)
The TE from the Madison Lionz won the MVP in 2005 (can't remember his name either, other than it was a fairly common last name-Brent something or other I think). I believe Dougherty may have been O-MVP that year, or possibly WR Greenberry of the Rhinos (that may be the year he set many receiving records).
The Rhinos generally did not in many individual awards throughout their run, which always was a bit of a head scratcher. They did (as we all know) win the most important award as a team each year.
Sorry I can't help much more on this. I became reliant on the old website for much of the recollection of the league year to year, too bad that can't be recaptured or found in hardcopy somewhere (damn Apple!). Best of fortune to Jaye and all in the RMFL. The re-establishment and updating of league history is much appreciated!
I have recaptured a LOT more than I would have expected. It took some time but I was able to make some sort of spreadsheet out of it. A lot of the records may have been broken a few times by current guys SO if anyone wants to compile the current stats than the current records that we have will stand. I think we have stats from the past 4 or 5 years so anyone is welcome to put that together and get the information to me.
I'm excited for what the website will be and I am very excited to roll it out.
Let me know if you have access to any of this stuff or would like to take the task of calculating the new stats.
