I put a lot more thought and effort into my other predictions because this one seemed kind of "DUH" to me. Not sure just how the wildcats will slow the onslaught that will ensue upon them, but maybe prayer for a disaster of some biblical proportion would do it? Short of that I'm not sure what else will prevent the Rev from un-corking a weeks worth of pent up anger and aggression from their first loss in god knows how long to a team not from St George. I can only imagine the sheer number of guys that each and individually think they have a point to prove, and in doing so will bring their A game. This being an opponent mind you they could probably beat with their B or C+ game attached; so heaven help them if these boys truly come ready to play and get some! Still, with all of that being said, the Wildcats can at the very least take what moral victories from this they can. They will now truly see what the RMFL is about and all that she has to offer. The Wildcats are undefeated in their team history in this league, remember the date if that's a stat you want to hang on the wall because it won't be a stat by Saturday night.

Vipers @ Raiders -
Vipers have a serious chip on their shoulder this year.. Oh, wait; its Rex. When doesn't he bring it like he has a serious chip on his shoulder! All in love and fun, in the vipers didn't play like that they couldn't hang with the big boys. So good for them, always coming out with something to prove. Maybe one year they will actually make the talent acquisitions or offseason changes to throw some one off their pedesta, even if only for a moment. But alas, that time is not now. Comparing them to the top half of the Big 9 is like comparing Vanderbilt/Kentucky to Alabama/Georgia/LSU. Yea they're all SEC teams but one group is one their and the other is another. Big props to the Vipers for even playing in the Big 9 when they could've easily been a top contender for the title in the Great North. Not only that they will find success in the Big 9, but will they be able to make that jump from a middle of the pack Big 9 to a top 3 or 4 team? Maybe the chip on their shoulder will give them what they need, or I suppose it could just as easily be their down fall. Only time will tell. As for this weekend they pick that chip up and use it to steam roll the Raiders in an easy one. Davis has always loved to control the ball and control the clock. They don't care if they score 6 or 60, as long as you never have the ball and the D is rested and strong. The Raiders don't seem to posses the big bodies needed to slow a game-long war up front. when it comes to which line will push the other around my money is on the Vipers to win that battle and they day in the end.

Trojans @ Hawks -
Staying relatively close to home I would find it hard that the Trojans don't travel well in what amounts to a follow up presentation to their week one statement against a "Big 3" from the Big 9. They played what everyone has called a sloppy game, and are self-admittedly one of the most talented teams ever. Whether that is a true statement, self fulfilling prophec, or just perception superseding reality; it won't hurt their case going up against the Hawks this week. The Hawks are in desperate need of improvements from week 1 to week 2 in order to slow down a much more talented roster top to bottom. If they give ground here it will be hard for them to climb back into the top half by season end, and the Trojans will be in the driver seat for their own destiny in the 'Deep South'(?).. But the Hawks can turn things on their head and nullify that big opening win the Torjans felt last week by tripping them up this week. Will it be a new team to the league, off to the races and in 1st place, or a tight bottle neck of talented 1-1 squads jumbled at the top. This game will have a major impact on the whole leagues outlook rolling into week 3.

* Sting @ Shock -
(GOTW) This game may not be carrying the names of teams that we expect to see a top the standings, but the winner of this game puts themselves in the best possible position to stay on top of the Trojans (we appear to be the team from Vegas to beat at this point). Both teams have undergone face lifts and changed up made what they thought were the changes necessary to fill the missing puzzle pieces for their championship run. I fully expect both offenses to bring the boom and go blow for blow and toe to toe. Two experienced QBs with talent at the WR position and run games to boot. One major factor will certainly be whose line wins the battle in the trenches. Other than that, it seems to me that which ever defense shows up stout on Saturday will give their squad the advantage. Toss up whether it's a shootout that goes back and forth all day, or stalemate decided by just a few choice plays. Flip of a coin, in the end, I guess...

I generally agree with your thinking on this game. The Rev will be ready to go. They are bigger, faster and more talented than the Wildcats and they have a lot of frustration to release. The Rev have a lot of cleaning up to do though. They need to play within themselves and not get too fired up. I don't think they will try to just pour it on. They should work on cleaning up penalties, and the basics of catching the ball and getting their running game going. The Wildcats are over matched in this one but will battle.

Vipers @ Raiders
Not much to add here, the Vipers were pretty good at the end of last year. I'm not sure if everyone is back, but if they are and they travel well they should be able to win the Raiders. It is the first game for the Vipers and they will probably have some first game jitters. The Raiders played hard last week but couldn't stop the power running of the Shock. I think this game will be close
Vipers 16 - Raiders 14
Trojans @ Hawks
The Trojans won last week, but that game confused me more than anything. They were good enough to win the Rev, but both teams were so sloppy I don't know how to judge them. They didn't really show much on offense, I couldn't tell much about the passing or running game, Hell, I can't even figure out if they stopped each other or if both teams just stopped themselves with errors and penalties. I still think the Trojans have a lot of talent and should fairly easily win the Hawks if they clean up their first week problems. They should use this game to get better. I'm still not sure about the Hawks. They played good enough to win last week, but still lost.
Trojans 28 - Hawks 7
(GOTW) Sting @ Shock
Both teams won last week but in much different ways. Sting upset was amazing. Everyone seems to have jumped on the Sting bandwagon, but I'm not convinced yet. The Offense was pretty bad getting only 110 total yards and the defense still gave up about 250. They certainly took advantage of their opportunities, but they won't get those every game. It is true that Wager probably won't have as bad of a game, he is much better than he showed last week, but historically he is about a 50% completion guy.
Shock were not challenged last week, The running game was great, and the passing game was very efficient. The Shock got to work on the basics. It was a perfect first game opponent. I don't know if we really know a lot about the Shock from that game either. I don't think the Shock showed much, they got to play very vanilla.
I just don't see the Sting getting the same opportunities this week, and the offense isn't where it needs to be. Shock are more diverse on offense than what the Sting saw last week against the Lions and will be harder to shut down.
