Great North Week 3 Prediction

Oilers @ Cobras

Well, after a rocky week 1, the Oilers proved their dominance over the Warriors this weekend. They are getting momentum, but they have their work cut out for them this week as they go to face the #1 team in the Southern division.

The Cobras have fixed whatever was wrong with their offense, and have been producing points. After letting the Outlaws put up 26 points though, I'm a little worried about what their defense can do. Luckily for them the Oilers don't have Jake anymore, to make all their plays for them. Although I think they will want to utilize the pass game as much as possible this week, as Ihde most definitely has a target on his back.

Warriors @ Outlaws

The Warriors are coming off a bad loss to the Oilers last week. Traveling with 13 guys will do that to you. In Elko they barely beat the Outlaws 29-21. If they travel with less than 20 guys again, I think they struggle a lot this week.

The Outlaws are a very much improved team from last year. Way to go guys! Putting up 26 points on the best team in your division is no easy task. As long as everyone is healthy, I think they take this one.

Warriors 14 - Outlaws 21

Stampede @ Diggers

The Stampede made a statement last week knocking off the Mustangs 27-6. But will their travel team be as strong as their home team? If so, then I think they have the potential for a championship run.

The Diggers have a 2-0 record. They have some momentum, and just need to keep it going. They are hosting a really good Stampede team, and need to bring their A game.

Stampede 28 - Diggers 3

Mustangs @ Anarchy

The Mustangs are coming off a humbling loss to the Stampede last week. They are looking to take their anger out on someone. And with a short trip to Blackfoot, they bring the whole squad.

The Anarchy are struggling to find their groove. They got some of their old players back, but that didn't seem to help them too much last weekend. I'm guessing their defense is tough, as usual, but their offense needs work.

Mustangs 21 - Anarchy 7

Xtreme @ Monsters

The Xtreme have a 7 hr trip to think about Week 1, and how they don't want that to happen again. They are ready to assert their dominance over someone this week. But will the team travel well with that long of a drive?

The Monsters surprised us all when they won this past week. Glad to see there is more parity in the Northern Division than we had expected.

I think this will be a close battle, because of the distance, the Xtreme are missing a few players.

Xtreme 10 - Monsters 7

Gladiators @ Avalanche

The Gladiators came out strong in Week 1 with an impressive win over the Xtreme. I expect them to do pretty well this season.

The Avalanche have shown that there is some improvement to be made on their end. I'm sure they are working it out, but the Gladiators are a tough team to to try to bounce back against.

Gladiators 28 - Avalanche 7
