Great North Week 8 Predictions From an Ignorant Guy
Permalink

First off, I'm glad to hear that the Great North had no problems whatsoever at SASA. Well done to the teams that went!!

Oilers @ Outlaws

Well, this could be an interesting game. Both Teams are 2-4. They are both fighting to be the #2 Utah Division team.

The Oilers are on a losing streak right now. They have played the top two team in the league, one after the other. I really expected them to do better vs the Cobras the second game... Can they travel well this week?

The Outlaws beat the snot outta the Monsters last week, and have been re-invigorated. This week is their chance to steal the #2 seed spot from the Oilers for the playoffs. And they are hosting, which means they'll have an offense, which is always nice.

Playoff implications are huge in this one. I think the Outlaws show up this week, and set themselves up for their first potential playoff berth.

Oilers 14 - Outlaws 17

Warriors @ Cobras

The team that has struggled the most with travel, vs an almost unstoppable offense. I think we all know what the pick for the week is on this one.

The Warriors are ready for the off-season so they can rebuild, and get ready for next year. Hopefully they can find some sort of momentum to take into the off-season to build on.

The Cobras are on a roll right now. Averaging 37 ppg, they have a stout offense, and can definitely just coast on this one. Once they get a comfortable lead, I'm sure they will throw in the #2s and rest their starters, and start getting ready for the playoffs.

Warriors 3 - Cobras 35

Stampede @ Mustangs

The Stampede are pretty banged up right now. They have a lot of injured players, and may not travel very well. If they bring everyone, they are a tough team to beat.

The Mustangs are ready for a win this week. Losing one 2 weeks ago, then a bye, and then last week losing a close one, they need to get a win to have any chance of playoff dreams.

Diggers @ Anarchy

**GOTW**

These two teams are both fighting for the #1 Idaho seed. Both are going into it at 4-2, so a win here earns them the #1 seed.

The Diggers are really struggling on the road so far, this season. They will need to step up their game this week to beat a tough, physical Anarchy team.

The Anarchy are having a good season so far. They did lose to the Diggers in week 1, but that was not the same Anarchy team that has been playing the rest of the season. I think the Anarchy show up and get some revenge on the Diggers, and take the #1 seed in Idaho.

Diggers 14 - Anarchy 21

Avalanche @ Gladiators

The Avalanche are ready for the season to be over. I really hope they can field a team...

The Gladiators are looking to prove they too have a high powered offense, and I think they put up a lot of points this week.

Avalanche 3 - Gladiators 42

Monsters @ Xtreme

The Monsters went down to SASA and got destroyed. Now they have another long road game, against a good Xtreme team. I hope they travel well.

Xtreme are pretty much in coast mode now. They have two home games left, against teams they've beat for a combined score of 58-33. They need to stay focused late in the game this week, and not let the Monsters get too many points on the board again.

Monsters 10 - Xtreme 28
