Well I'm glad everyone knows me so well. I don't even know me that well.

Sorry to disappoint on the come back. I'm just plum tuckered out tonight.

I guess arguing with you did me in. So much for that "high" huh?

I think we should just keep our wives out of it, don't ya think? I think we can both agree on that one. But I'll send you that Obit. If I die playing football, it would make me the happiest man on earth. At least temporarily.

It's actually been a pleasure having this verbal duke out with you Wayne.

And I'll sincerely say , You take care too.

Tom Bennett,

Well, now we all know what type of person you are. Or maybe just me. Appears everyone else already knew. Thats what I get for giving people the benefit of the doubt!

You always complain about others coming on here or responding to your posts with no relevant arguement or really no meat to it. Well, my friend it appears that you have done the same. Horrible come back TOM! I expected more.

Hope I have been somewhat of a "high" for you and your addiction of arguing. Trust me I know for a fact you will never play AAA.

Please have your wife forward me the obituary. Take care.

idk if u have ever even seen tom bennet play, but i have played college ball and to see a man of his age play and pass wit timming and accuracy this guy has is unbelievable.. playing in the all star game wit him last year was a great learning experience.. theres no doubt in my mind that tom bennet couldnt play quarterback in AAA and play at a high level even at his age now.. u

Sarcastic or not....Hoop. I think that may have been the most considerate response you have ever given on the RMFL site that included more then 3 words. Turning over a new leaf already?

Not to be a dick or anything, so you have no frame of reference... as far as AAA in the RMFL is concerned...

Well I have frame of reference. I have played AAA and lead our team to the playoffs. So I wouldn't venture so far as to say I wouldn't stand a chance.

And to Jake Ihde,
Thanks for the compliment. I get so much ridicule from certain individuals, it's refreshing to have someone say something positive for a change.
Thanks, Tom

So just cuz we play AA we have no reference to AAA? I have played AAA also back when the Rockets used to be around and as far as Im concerned my Varsity High school team could beat every AAA team there is out there, so before you go judgin us lil AA guys you might wanna know our back ground first Mr. Kyto.

Most of us really aren't trashing the Matadors as a whole...Just Tom really. Would we like to see them stup up to AAA? Of course. The more the merrier.

Bashing Great Falls was a thing of last year. I don't know if anyone noticed...but many(including the Shock) knew what was coming up there. We were pretty much quiet about it all after we found out The Shock had a chance on the field to shut them up. And even more so after hearing their loud mouths were no longer a part of that organization and that none of them were getting on here to run their mouths about being 2nd best in the RMFL.

Second, I'm pretty sure there is a team in GF right now, that would say the Shock represented the AAA at its finest while we were there. We were very repsectful of the hosts and the refs, and their field crew.

All I am hearing from Oilers#23, is another reason for AAA teams to bash on a AA team for acting like a fool.

Simple fact is this. It is not the heart of the athletes, and in some aspects its not even the talent that seperates the AA from the AAA. Its the inbetweens that seperate em. The Organization, the level of understanding and implementation on the field, the means to "look and play" at a higher level, just for example. It has less to do with individual efforts on the field, yet their efforts together a whole both on and off. Every team has their Studs and duds... It just seems at the AAA level the studs are a few steps faster, a bit bigger, and alot more organized as an Organization(with exception of very few). Example...Name one QB in the AA that can hang with the likes of Jordan Kjar against the defenses he plays all year? Name one Safety that can do what Harrold Reagan does and they are half his age... those are examples of people on the Field.

Off the field.... I think its safe to say that Kyto has done a stellar job with a team that was almost extinct TWICE in the last 7 or so years.. Same goes for Sarge who obviously has things fine tuned in St George. Alot can be said about the effort put into the AAA Organizations. It just stands out more both on and off the field then AA. Which doesn't mean the AA doesn't put in as much or more work... its just a completely different beast. So in a sense, we have earned the right to protect the prestige of being in the AAA. Its not that we thrive off smacking around the AA. It just seems that way when one person runs their mouth and 10 AAA players come to the defense... I think alot of it has to do with the fact that the players for each division NEVER meet, so they never have to "back it up." In AAA, if you run your mouth to another AAA player/team....You have to back it up...

We are all rooting for GF to succeed(except against our own teams of course). But at the same time, we can't help ourselves but say "I told you so" when a big loss or losses happen.

Did he say the Rockets?

Kudos to you #23, I'm curious to know what High School you played for?

Please don't say you played here in Utah cause if you do.....(shaking head)

Oilers #23 I admire that you play but you "lil AA teams" as you put it, don't stand a chance in the AAA!!! Look what happened to Great Falls and they were the 2 time..2 time...(see what I did there) AA undefeated champs which means not one other AA team could stand toe to toe with them. Then they play the Shock at home and get slapped like a stripper on prom night.

I just want to comment on one thing in this thread...... If we "the AAA" want AA teams to come up, then why in the heck would everyone sit and bash on them and tell them that they don't belong or that they can never compete. I am sorry, but trashing the gladiators and making a point that if they can't win then nobody can is detrimental to the league.

this is exactly why nobody wants to come up!!!! If the aaa wants a heirarchy of only the best of the best and yet are gonna scare away those who have to step up and go through growing pains then it won't take long for there to only be 3-5 teams left in AAA.... Make a decision. do we want a full AAA or just the 4 teams in slc and st george. cause by the end of the season of trashing the matadores(tom) and the gladiators. we will be in another sad situation come january.

I dont think anyone wants to bash AA anymore, we have already established the difference enough said about it!! But when you come on here and say your high school football team would beat anyone its hard not to respond to that!! There are alot of AAA caliber players on AA teams, They seem to be the ones that take offense to everything?? Everyone in this league has a chance to pick a team AAA or AA. Not all for geological reasons. But if you think your that good then step up and challenge yourself!! Just sayin.

Uno Siete still holds records in the AA. Anonymous probably does too, but we'll never know!!

And you got us! Oh you, Mr. "We'll never know your name, but you'll laugh and chuckle yourself to sleep". We suck! We blow!

But at least everyone knows who said what, because we aren't COWARDS in a REC MENS FOOTBALL LEAGUE.

I know what Mr. Bennett is capable of, and so does he. Don't come on here and irk your awards at me. It doesn't matter too much to me.

Can Tom play AAA? Sure! He has! But doesn't now. Does that mean anything? Maybe.. Maybe not.. But good for Tom, he knows truly, since the 5+ years he's been on this board with me, that I mean no disrespect. You Oilers persay... Well, you win one game, doubling your franchise's win totals and all of a sudden you open your mouths. And to be clear, I never said you couldn't stand a chance, but Tom, you yourself know that it would be difficult to go week in week out as a AAA quarterback. Not saying you can't, saying it'd be difficult.

It's one thing to stick up for Tom, I get that, I do it for all my guys, but please remove balls from mouth. You don't need to boost him up. He's a grown man. And grown old man at that. =) (Take that out of context too while you're at it)

Your high school teams can beat AAA teams? Please, make more developmentally delayed comments like this. It makes this whole processthe easier for all of us.

I don't care if you played college or what not. Well uh, umm well uh.. I had a guy who played on the Fiesta Bowl Utah team on my team so take that! Idiots.

As far as the AAA guys coming on here bagging the AA guys, that's also not entirely true. It's a few guys, too ignorant and stupid to know, and they open their mouths and go off on some ridiculous tangent. (Please see former Gladiators from years past)

Bracken, doesn't take a smart man to even laugh at a comment like the following:

"So just cuz we play AA we have no reference to AAA? I have played AAA also back when the Rockets used to be around and as far as Im concerned my Varsity High school team could beat every AAA team there is out there, so before you go judgin us lil AA guys you might wanna know our back ground first Mr. Kyto."

Really?! SERIOUSLY?!

Guess what, I played AA ball. And I'm one of a few guys who can say they will forever be undefeated in AA ball. That's a fact. And who's your high school team? Get some permission slips and lets hold a game, I'd love for you to get FIRED for being such a dumb human being for letting your players play against ADULTS.

I don't need to JUDGE anyone. I made a comment, a "kyto comment", as Tom would say, and you got on here and got ignorant.

High school teams can't compete with the top caliber AAA teams of the RMFL. That's flat out ridiculous.

The Oilers, your team, can't compete with the Shock. I'm willing to put any amount of $$$ on it.

So know your background. The Oilers use to be a proud organization when Jeremy was around... look at them now.. 3-2340987 in the history of the RMFL and all of a sudden I need to KNOW MY BACKGROUND.

Turds.

We're all here to compete, some just choose to compete with the best of the best.

We're all here to play again, you're right. YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT, BUT THIS LEAGUE HAS TWO DIVISIONS. TWO LEVELS OF COMPETITION. AND AS PLAYERS YOU ALL GET TO CHOOSE WHICH YOU PLAY AT. SO, WITH THAT IN MIND, IF YOU'RE GOING TO TALK OR REFERENCE SOMETHING, PLEASE HAVE SOME REFERENCE OF WHAT YOU ARE TALKING TO.

That whole "Saturated Market" BS is getting old. I can guarantee ON PAPER the Shock don't have the caliber of players that the other local AAA teams have, BUT... I can guarantee we show up and Make a game out of every single team we play. Save the talent pool BS.... ;)

ohh damn you really got me anonymous. How'd my team do. Unlike you I dont care how many catches for how many yards I get as long as I help the TEAM in anyway I can. My team doesnt need me to get 100 yards a game they need me to catch it over the middle when it comes my wayand block.  And on Saturday we didnt need to pass the ball cuz the run game was working hence the 11 pass att. total and 0 of those in the second half. But hey your a badass no name so ill just shut my mouth now and keep playing for this crappy team

kyto i never once was bragging on myself, i just said todd is very talented and iv been around some talent.. and idc if we couldnt compete wit the shock i never once said that.. i personally go in to every game feeling like im goin to win but thats just me.. and the oilers had there first winning season last year, this is my second year on the oilers and first year at full time qb, just in the past year i feel like this oiler team has taken big strides, from a 19 man roster to 30 men dressed and played at our last home game.. we just beat the vipers for the first time in oilers history and competed against the stampede who beat this team two years ago by 50 points.. im just out here to play man and compete, if we had the talent pool to pull from like the triple a teams we'd be triple a too but we dont. were a bunch of rough necks that work 70 hrs a week that love to play. heck we got players that have never played a down in high school.. but we do got some players that would start on any triple a team.. good luck to every one this year..

SLC Population- 182,000
Roosevelt, Utah Population- 5,000

I'd say the chances of finding top athletes would be easier in SLC.
I don't think that the "saturated market" thing is BS. I'd say its true.

Salt Lake + Utah County = 309,243.8 population per team

That's more than 21 times the amount of population per team, and not to mention the multiple universities (with and without FB programs), and the overall demographics.  SLC has malls, shopping, theatres, clubs, and much more to attract males 20-30 years old.

I would also assume that recruiting players is easier when travel is not as big as an issue as a desolate team.  It's hard to get guys interested when they find out they are 4 hours away from their closest opponent.

Duequesne has __________
