Snow Devis at Bearcats: Neither have won a game yet, so this is a must-win for both squads. Both are fighting for respect and a ticket out of the basement. Helena is not very far from Bozeman, so both teams should be at full-strength. I would expect this game to be close, but for the Snow Devils to eventually win 14-0.
Bullets at Blaze: The new kid on the block vs. the Bully. I've already made it clear I think the Blaze are the best team in Montana, and possibly the entire AA. I like the Bullets team, but given they have to travel to the 'Root for this game--I think the Blaze are too much. Blaze win 28-10.
Sabercats at Vikings: The Vikings played the Mustangs close last week, and given this game is at home, I think they will keep it close again. The Sabercats always travel well though and are still trying to prove last year's Championship appearance wasn't a fluke--I expect them to win a close one 17-14.
Anarchy at Diggers: I love the parity in the Idaho AA, and this should be another great game. Arco is finding out how hard it is to replace Cody Jackson, but every game Belnap has under center will lead to more improvement. The Diggers are a solid team, and after beating SR on the road, are excited to kick off their home season. I expect the Anarchy keep it close, but the Diggers eventually win 28-14.
Mustangs at Matadors: All the talk after Week 1 was the Matador's 84 points. Are they that good or were the Guardians that bad? This week will be a good barometer for the Dors as they get to host a very talented Mustangs team. If they're going to keep pace in the Idaho Division, they really can't afford to go 1-2 in their first three games. I just don't see them keeping up with Ol Man Bennett and his stable of weapons. Matadors 34, Mustangs 14.
Oilers at Cobras: Oilers looked very good last week against the Vipers. The Cobras looked even better the week before against the Warriors. While the Oilers are on a quest for respect from the other teams in the Utah Division, the Cobras are looking for a Championship. As improved as the Oilers defense is this year, stopping (or at least slowing down) the Quynn Haws show is no easy task. On the flip side, how will Ihde fair vs. the vaunted Cobra 3-5-3? I think the Oilers keep it close, but the Cobras are too tough at home and win 28-14.
Stampede at Vipers: After last week the Vipers will be hungry for a win and REALLY want to avoid the 0-2 hole. The Stampede offense finally started clicking, albeit against an expansion defense. While this one will be close, I think (and hope) the Stampede win 21-10.
week 4: Missoula over Billings Blaze over Helena Boise over Upper Valley I wanna say upset with Arco winning but I think the Matadors will win. Diggers over Guardians Cobras over Stampede maybe lol Vipers over Elko
Week 4: Phoenix over the bullets. The Phoenix offense over powers the defense in a fairly one sided affair. Missoula 35 Billings 10
Blaze over Helena. Haven't studied Helena but the air game strong and able to score quick. 48-14 Bitter Root
Boise over upper valley. The renewed Vikings get handled 35-14
Arco vs the Dors. Arco loses a close game against the old man and his timing offense. 31-24
Diggers and the goons I mean the guardians. Oh them growing pains. Kit goes to the bench in the second half in a 48-6 win
Cobras at Stampede. I know first hand, two of the top three teams in the Utah division. Cobras solid line and quick, competent defense bully the Stampede in a hard fought, close game, 28-17 cobras
Vipers and Elko. Battle of the undefeated. Not fair to say. The veteran ball club vs the expansion team. As visions of the Thunder crackle in my head, I will try to be optimistic. Vipers 42 Warriors 6
Week 4 Missoula over Billings-Tough defense and I think Missoula will get that running game going behind that solid o-line 21-14
Blaze over Helena-Blaze are hitting on all cylinders right now and I don't think Helena can hang once they get down 42-10
Generals over Upper Valley-Generals have a lot of talent on the edges but their o-line scares me...big time! I think the Vikings DL will get some pressure early and often. Closer game than many expect. Upper Valley decides to play safe on defense and it helps. ST the difference 28-21
Arco VS Matadors-Gunna be a great game :)
Diggers over Guardians-Guardians seem to be improving but CB blitzes still wont work for them(Hint-STOP BRINGING CORNER BLITZES! ESPECIALLY NOT TO THE FIELD SIDE!). 42-7
Cobras over Stampede-Love this match up. The cobras are going to be very hungry after a loss. Haws(Spelling?) makes more plays this week and gets them back on the right track 24-14
Vipers over Warrriors-Vipers get that first win of the season over a Warrior team I dont know much about. 28-7
So that's three picks for the Cobras vs. one for the Stampede? Anyone want to give me 3:1 odds on the Cobras this week? I'll take that bet, lol -- oh wait, as a league official (not to mention player), I'm probably not allowed to bet on my own game.
Phoenix over Bullets Blaze over Bearcats Generals over Vikings Matadors over Arco Diggers over Guardians Stampede over Cobras Vipers over Elko
I had full summaries and write ups on every game and was even on the last and game of the week when I guess I hit the backspace when the cursor was outside the box because it erased everything. Not a fan of laptops. Heres a shorter pick.
Phoenix over Bullets Blaze over Bearcats Generals over Vikings Matadors over Arco Diggers over Guardians Cobras over Stampede Vipers over Elko
