Regarding the Follower's predictions. They might be educated guessess, but he's been hitting on some things( Stampede/Bulldawg score &Spartan upset) that will make his credibility soar for the remainder of the season.
Regardless of how you might feel about this guy, you have to applaud his efforts as well as his results. And I don't see anyone else doing it in the AAA. Great job Follower!
I want to tip my hats off to Lonnie and his Bulldawgs. What a game! Big hits, lots of heart and Holy crap what an ending... again. It seems like no matter who is on these two teams, or what the records are we can throw everything out the window and expect a war. Both teams played the second half with back up qb's as Ben went out in second quarter with a knee injury and Jordan Holton switched to the defensive side of the ball after struggling to get going early.
Play after play you wondered if everyone would get up.. there were big hits and leave it all on the field football. It seemed like there was no way the Stampede would come out on top after the Bulldawgs put together a 9;20 minute drive with great clutch plays and a few penalies on stampede to leave the score tied at 10-10 with 18 seconds to go.
on the kickoff Alleman almost broke it and left us on the bulldawg 34 yard line and regulation ended on a missed fg. OT started out with a PI on the Stampede and followed up by not only a quick score by Bulldawgs but by a language penalty on the Stampede. (don't worry, I washed his mouth out with soap after the game.).
down six 16-10 (blocked PAT) the stampede started their overtime drive on their own 45 instead of the 25 because of the 30 yards of penalty for the language. Blake Kelley and Brandon Carlisle went to work. The Stampede had to go for it 3 times on 4th down to keep the drive alive. Jordan Holton put the ball across the goaline on 1st and goal from the 1 yrd line followed by a successful pat and the dramatic ending to the game.
People may question the Bulldawgs, their ability or the amount of men they play with. But I tip my hat to them. Good Luck Bulldawgs, Ben get better man, and Lonnie, thanks for the memories.
