I just lay in the bathtub full of hot water and cry for a few days. I have someone periodically check in on me and make sure my nostrils aren't submerged and my water hasn't turned ice cold. As you can tell, my treatment advice isn't helpful but that's what I do. Prevention? Get low and keep your head on a swivel.

P.S. Just log in, no one's going to beat you up over a question like that.

Have you tried a different helmet?  I used to use one of those old school Riddell helmets that have been around since the 80s and I would get stingers all the time.  I switched to a Riddell Revolution a few years back and haven't had a stinger yet.

I use a Xenith X2. Best helmet I've ever used. Hardly feel anything.
