this was posted in the reviews concerning the Blaze...
Football God Knute Rockne once said, “One man practicing good sportsmanship is far better than fifty others preaching it.” Saturday’s game in Bitterroot may be a perfect example of why this statement is true. Billings head coach Scott Rimer says he “honestly has never been a part of a game like that”. This is saying a lot, since Rimer has been a part of a lot of football in his life. After the Bullets scored easily on the first two drives of the game, it seems as though there were some extracurricular activities in which the Bitterroot Blaze insisted on engaging in, the kind of actions which will surely be reviewed by the league – even if the Blaze were ahead in the end.
What extracurricular activities???
Is there anyone out there that can explain how the Blaze did not show sportsmanship???
OR why HC Scott Rimer would make these comments???
I wasn't at the game but we did receive contact from both Head Coaches saying the other team weren't good sportsmen. At any rate, I've talked to Jared (your GM) and Jeff (the writer) about the write up. He was going to contact Jared about it as well.
Other than that and the 3 other teams I've talked to about various issues this morning, it's just another day in the RMFL.
And Shane...could you please throw a few pick-6's? In case it comes down to the points-allowed tie-break, your defense isn't giving up nearly enough points. I'm older than you (and that's saying something), so I need all the help I can get.
Rimer.. Not only did I hear that you were engaging Blaze players that came near your sideline, I also heard it from the Officials too.. You were so close to being ejected from that game. Instead of trying to start fights with Blaze players, maybe you should have tried shutting your mouth and started coaching!!!! Rimer, guys like you(2 game in the RMFL)kill me, you get your asses kicked then run to the website to try to save face by talking $hit about us. You were the reason your team lost, no one else.. Billings is a good team, coaching is the issue. This isn't the Blaze's first rodeo. Class? Remember, it was your player #80 that was running his mouth, so he got jacked up for it(between whistles) and then he starts throwing punches!!
I CANT BELIEVE THE LEAGUE ALLOWED THIS BIAS GAME REPORT TO BE PUBLISHED.. THIS IS A SLAP IN THE FACE TO THE BLAZE.. ///MORE TO THE GAME THEN THE SCORE..HAHA... THE LAST 8 OR 9 MINS WE HAD BUCKIE AT QB RUNNING STRAIGHT OFF TACKLE PLAYS AND THEY COULDN'T STOP OUR BACK UPS.. ? WHY DIDN'T THE GAME REPORTER CONTACT THE BLAZE TO HEAR THE OTHER SIDE OF THE GAME?? THIS IS GARBAGE..
Hats off to the Blaze for their impressive win--they accomplished what we couldn't when we played Billings the 1st week on their turf.
Not to make excuses for our loss but if you think the Bullets were bad at your house wait until yo visit their home field. We had two player ejected for talking and a coach ejected for talking to his players. i know the league reviewed the incidents so I will not argue the validity of the ejections, but suffice to say Billings officials were home team biased
Blaze--the entire league knows you are a classy organization and you have the respect of all of us. Keep on doing what you do and I look forward to playing you again.
Also let Buckreus know that I still don't count the lay down sack he was awarded against us
Brad...u know i have to bring this out in the open when someone calls out my team like this in such a BS way...The Blaze are a hard hitting team between the whistles and do not do extra activity once that whistle blows...I nor Tad would put up with that....as well as all coaches and the other 35 players on our team...I dont know who writes the articles but I hope in the future they will not be so much on the bias side...on a side note its nice to hear from ya...and good to see u r still out there bein the stud u r...as for pick 6's....that would be the other thing that the team does not allow lol
Rodgers...u r def a class act yourself
shame the game has to be marred by these comments...Sat was a big game for both squads...each trying to make its own statement...Billings for the most part is a well run organization with a lot of talent on that football field...they r def going to make a big splash in MT...the Blaze were the better team on Sat...the bullets will get another chance to prove they r another day
