Score updates...

Just a little something I've noticed...

The threads with the score updates, and the threads about the problems with the reporting of scores get the most views, by far. Now I'm no Einstein but it seems to me like that means something. At least it should.

People clearly WANT to see score updates on gamedays! So why hasn't someone who can do something about it, done something about it?

Maybe the refs should be reporting scores quarterly to a single person who can then maybe post it to this site & Twitter.

Is that the solution? I don't know. But there has to be one because what's going on now kinda sucks rocky mountain oysters.

Once again, I believe the fastest way for teams to get scores updated and for fans to get real time scores is to update and view them on twitter. The Twitter box is embedded on the website home page. I have encouraged all the teams in Utah to create an account and submit scored via @RMFL_scores.  The league cannot post official scores until they are received at the end of the game by the GM's.

Another option would be to befriend every team you inquire about on facebook. There may be fans in attendence that will be updating.

I know this probably is not the answer you all are asking for but I believe that at the current time it is the best we will come up with.

Unless we have an individual sitting at his computer awaiting calls from team reps at the end of each quarter then I think these are the only options but there may be another way, I don't know.

Like I said before, if we can stream a video from Youtube on to the message board, there is no reason we can't stream a twitter feed onto the home page. OR... something similar in effect. It CAN be done, just takes the right people in the right spot. Are those people in the right spot, maybe.. maybe not. Do we have the bandwidth and necessary resources to do so...maybe, maybe not All I am saying is... Its possible.

This is already being done.  Haven't you seen the home page.  The whole left side is Twitter.
