After a week off it’s now time to focus on the last two weeks of the regular season.A lot can still happen and we have some gems ahead of us as the seeding for the playoff is still completely up in the air.Technically, no one has clinched a first round bye and the main seeding from #3-#6 is still completely up in the air.Either way, it’s time for me to announce where I think each team ranks respectively…
1 – Shock 6-0
Undisputed #1…for now…they have a chance to clinch the #1 seed this week not only in my rankings, but for the playoffs as they head to Dixie to take on the Rebels in what’s sure to be a great game.
2 – Rebels 6-1
How big is this week’s game???Win, and the Rebels never have to travel again this year…lose, and they in all likelihood drop to the #4 seed and have a rematch with the Shock in SLC in the semi-finals.
3 – Stealth 4-2
Beat the Gladiators with 18 guys…BY 50 POINTS!!!Now they get a week off before finishing their job.A solid chance for a first round bye with that stingy defense keeping all offenses out of the endzone.
4 – Spartans 4-2
Captain Crunch may have been right by calling the Spartans to go 6-2 this season as they have a real chance now that they’re starting to heal up.Want to win out and avoid any chance at having to travel in the first round of the playoffs.
5 – Stampede 3-3
Yup…they surpassed the Revolution in my rankings and now have a chance to prove me RIGHT this weekend in Logan. With their offense now clicking (thanks to Jenkins) their defense is living up to its hype.
6 – Revolution 3-3
How will this team finish? Two big games left, and both of them are on the road (at Logan, at Treasure Valley).I don’t see either as a guaranteed win for the flailing Revolution who continues to be a sieve defensively. How is it that Chuckypita is arguably the 5th best QB in the AAA right now???A lot to prove over these next two weeks…
7 – Mudducks 0-6
With basically two weeks off to rest up and fix the problems the Mudducks have a real shot at winning their last two games this season.Even with both losses, those three losses (Revolution, Stampede, Stealth) will haunt them during June and throughout the entire offseason…
8 – Bulldawgs 1-5
Two more games and then you can start your campaign to rejoin friendlier confines next season.Still nothing but respect for the Bulldawgs who although they may lack in talent, they have plenty of fight…
9 – Gladiators 0-6
Can’t really say anything here…nor do I really need to…Regardless of who you’re missing from your championship teams, fact is that AAA is a completely different league than AA.Either way, Kudos for playing up and through this season…all the while taking your beatings like men…
The Shock have technically clinched no worse than the #2 seed (and a subsequent first round bye) due to "head-to-head" being the tiebreaker (win over both the Spartans and Stealth who could both potentially be 6-2)...this is of course ASSUMING the Shock lost their last two games...
I appreciate being told about this and corrected. After all, my articles DESERVE nothing short of 100% accuracy...
If we are picking this thing apart..........If you are going to rank the Stampede #5 and the Revolution #6, Are you not saying that you feel the Stampede is the better team? If so, Why do you not have the Stampede beating the Rev this Saturday? I can see ranking them how you did if you were going to pick the stampede to win but you are contradicting yourself in my humble opinion. Which I know doesn't mean much to you.
YES YES but you didn't tag that "UPSET SPECIAL". Therefore you feel the Rev are better than the Stampede. Yet again your rankings conflict this. It's OK I know down deep in your heart you "LTR" but as a young apprentice I just wanted to point out the flaw in the write ups.
Other than that, as always. Great Work. I could never keep up with you. Hence why I no longer post some "GOOD SCHITT".
