Matadors over the Stampede big!  Pomerlee too much for Stampede.  Is it just me or does Pomerlee look like LaMichael James!  COuld be twins.  D stops thurber cold.

Blaze over Mustangs by 1.  Mustang have good D but long trip and a good Blaze offense is 1 point too much for the Mustangs.  Looks like the Blaze have to wait till next week to lose to the Matadors.

Generals over Oilers by 28.  Oilers, you are the weakest link.  Goodbye! Rhode goes for 450 yds and like 12 td's.  Oilers  O can score at least 21 on Generals, but so could everyone else this year.

Anarchy over Phoenix by 7.  Anarchy D have their way with Phoenix before, during and after the game.

This weekend Idaho shows why it got 4 teams in Playoffs!  MT and UT better luck next year.

Blaze 21 Mustangs 14-Tough road trip for the Mustangs. I expect this game to be a slug fest! Both teams will be tested by some pretty good wideouts(Harris and Elgin-Taylor). I feel that the Blaze win this one out because Jurasek is going to make a few of those plays that drive all of us crazy.

Oilers 35 Generals 28-I don't see the Generals traveling well. They traveled 16 to Burley and that is five hours less travel than BFE. I also have a feeling some of their players are ready for the season to be done. The Oilers defense HAS TO GIVE UP THE SHORT GAME!!!! I cant reiterate this enough. Rally short and they become impatient. WATCH FOR THE ONSIDE KICK...they do it pretty much every time they kick. Oilers can't afford any mistakes here but I see depth for the Generals as a HUGE concern. GO OILERS!!!!! WOOOOOOO! See some of us love you guys ;)

Anarchy 21 Phoenix 7-Tough travel and Missoula runs into a team of country fried farm boys. Anarchy are big and physical. Easily the most physical team I have played in my three years. The Anarchy defense shuts down the Phoenix run game and forces the QB to beat them. This game will remain very close until the end. I expect Missoula's defense to play very well for 3 quarters but after 4 quarters of those big uglies grinding on ya, they get a few points on the board.

Stampede and Matadors-WOOOOO BABY!!!! It's playoff time!!!! Time to get after that a$$ *Lifts arms in the machine gun motions and makes machine gun noises with mouth like this UH UH UH UH*(By the way this last part will only be funny to Matador players and Idaho teams that have seen this on the field. Logan...I look forward to showing you...if the refs allow it :))

To all AA and AAA good luck in the playoffs! Travel safe and stay healthy my brothers!

Blaze 27, Mustangs 14
-No doubt the Blaze can score points, but the Mustang defense is large and physical. I think the Mustangs were capable of beating any team in the Idaho Division this season but could not pull it out when it mattered - the second half (Mustangs were beating us 8-7 at half, we won 38-8). A strong Blaze air attack will prevail...late.

Generals 40, Oilers 28
-The Oilers have had a promising campaign in the Utah Division, however, they need to be ready for the aerial dominance displayed by the Boise Generals. This is a team that went 4-4 because they severely lack defensive strength but managed to average 37 points per game. BJ Rhode will methodically pick the Oiler defense apart (with quick 5 yard outs and bubble screens to TJ Acree) if they are not prepared. Jeremy Caldwell and the Uintah secondary needs to have a HUGE game if they want to advance to the semi-finals.

Anarchy 14, Phoenix 6
-The Phoenix are playing with a huge chip on their shoulder, still riding the momentum from the big win over the Blaze. But, to keep the season alive they have to find a way to dominate the line of scrimmage against Arco. Aside from a defense that shall remain unnamed, Arco has the toughest defense in Idaho. One word to describe the Anarchy defense: ROADBLOCK. And that is just what they're going to be for Missoula.

I'm confused OC. Oilers lose by 28, give up at least 66 points yet can only score 21. Child please. Give the Gladiators as much crap as you want about smack talk at least they put a name on it.

It's ok Trev we just don't understand that the Utah and Montana divisions are never as good as the Idaho division same thing every year because we forget that an Idaho team wins the 'ships every year. No disrespect to the actual teams and players who post names from Idaho I can't even argue with Dors 58 cause he's right about our secondary needing a big game. But we know that already.

Looking forward to the game as well--the Matadors are one of the few AA teams I haven't played during my 9 year career. Should be a great game, we'll try to keep it interesting. Good luck to all and travel safe.

Ha thanks TD and you ain't kidding about BFE. Generals making the trip I warn you it takes FOREVER. We made the trip to Boise and Ontario last year and I was like at least there's Boise, people coming here don't have that privilege.

I'd like to hear who is the weakest link now? Utah and Montana cant stand up to Idaho...B.S. Keep dreaming Idaho. This isn't going to be an "all Idaho" Semi Final or Even Championship. Watch out for the weakest link at the tail end. Its the one that can swing back with the most punch!

Blaze are going to beat the oilers. Blaze were really legit this weekend I was surprised not going to lie. They had a very good defense and balanced offense good qb and receiver. They could of scored 50 points on us.

Haha nice OC.  3 of your teams went down in the first round!  Not saying Idaho doesn't have good teams, but the Utah and Montana teams deserve respect too bro.  I'd hold off on making any further predictions until you know the league better.

^^^We know we know, just like the Stampede were supposed to the second time (agonizing that a returned kickoff in week one couldve kept us from hosting throughout the playoff.) The Cobras both times, the Generals by 12 touchdowns last week. Haha nothing againsts those teams cause the Stampede made the playoffs out of 2 spots, the Cobras are legit and should have been in the playoffs, the Generals have a dynamic AAA offense.

Since the anon who is supposedly a member of the Mustangs was "surprised" by the Blaze obviously didn't realize that the Blaze didn't give up 5.9 ppg out of nowhere, and if this is the case I will say they have also somehow never heard of a QB named Jurasek who has dominated this league for a while, or even Buckie who's not putting up the numbers I'm used to seeing but I am sure is still trucking poor LBs around the league. I'm excited to travel to Montana because I've never played there...crazy talk I know.

The meaning of the word PREDICTION!!!! "A declaration made in advance" OC declared that no team in Utah or Montana was good enough for the playoffs... Does anyone know what time he played this weekend, or did he just sit on the sidelines enjoying the view of the playoffs

Lightening Macleod, the part that kills me most about that kickoff is that we have 2 guys about ready to make the tackle and our third guy comes and blindsides them both. SMH haha

Oilers, you guys came into this season ready to play and you've shown what dedication you have. If I were in your shoes, I wouldn't even reply to someone who can't even stand behind her (yeah, HER) posts with a name. We all know what the anonymous posters are about and I AM NOT taking anything away from the Matadors because they whooped our asses WELL on Saturday. In addition to having a strong program (and Brace), there is a reason they went an easy 8-0 in regular season. It takes more than a keyboard and state pride to have a winning team.

You've arrived... keep building and getting stronger. Best of luck the rest of the way.

Im telling you, Darrell, we get one more Olineman and im gonna have to retire. I am definitly the weakest link on the our team.

as far as this whole arguement is considered, we are all going to feel our own conference is stronger because we played only our conference. Playoffs are interesting this year because the cross conference play isnt really as true as we would like. I understand the Stampede didnt travel their whole squad. i also understand the Generals were a different team on Saturday as they were the previous week when they play 5 miles from their home field. all in all, the only surprise that came out of this last weekend was the Phoenix knocking out the Anarchy. Truthfully, I know how good the Phoenix are as I have played them a few times, as well as the Blaze. I am proud as hell of the Oilers coming as far as they have and hope they get past this week. As far as easy conferences are considered, the topic is dumb. we are all strong conferences. OC is an idiot and I knew he was an idiot when he made the post.

All in All: cant we all just get along?

Bobby,

We can get along this week because even though you guys knocked us out of the playoffs and made me waste alot of gas, I stayed in a very nice Hampton Inn in Meridian, I got the chance to enjoy some Jack in the Box, I purchased my lottery tickets, and you let me block a field goal.

Next year, we're gonna need that win. I'm sure you understand.

Here's a trivia question for anyone that can answer--when was the last time a HOME team LOST the Championship? Or even a Semi-Final game? I'm not sure the home team has ever lost the Championship game. I've played the Oilers & Matadors this year. I'm pretty familiar with the Blaze & Phoenix (although all teams change from year-to-year). I think they are all four very good teams, and I would have a hard time picking a "favorite" to win it all.

I am most curious to see if any of the visiting teams can pull an upset from here on out. That was my only concern when we went to non-interdivision play--that the homefield advantage might be too much to overcome. Or worse, that homefield of the Championship would come down to "points allowed" or a cointoss because we'd have 2 undefeated teams. I actually think all 3 conferences were fairly similar (1 or 2 good teams, 1 or 2 not very good teams, and a lot in the middle) even though they varied by size. The Matadors did what neither the Blaze or Oilers could do by going undefeated and have earned the right to play at home the next two weeks.

There are other great storylines as well--the Matadors searching for the 1st Championship after being so close so many times. Jurasek trying to finally get that elusive ring after 10+ years in the league with 5+ teams. 53 year old Tom Bennett trying to ride off into the sunset as a Champion. The Oilers, in their first playoff run trying to keep the magic going. And, the potential for almost a cross-town showdown if the Blaze & Phoenix both get wins this weekend for a Round 3 Melee in Missoula.

Lots of great storylines still to be told in the AA this year. Even though I'll be watching from the sidelines, I'm really excited to see how it plays out.

Are you serious Oiler #23?  Did I hurt your feelings?  If I did I am so so so sorry.  I still think the Generals are by far the better team.  I have played you multiple times and I am not impressed.  Don't take everything that is said on this message board as gospel.  It is just my opinion.  It is all fun and games until some poor soul gets his feelings hurt.  Have fun this weekend though.  I believe you are the better team  than the Blaze!  But the travel will kill you.  Just like the Generals.

No you didnt hurt my feelings actually, i was just simply stating that you were dead wrong along with everyone else.
Not impressed? I cant even say anything to that cuz youre too chicken **** to even let anyone know who you are, or even what team you play for.
As for treveling excuses, thats all they are is excuses. If the Blaze do beat us then its because theyre a better team not because we traveled 10 1/2 hours.
Youre a team whether at home or away, and if you cant travel as a team then you deserve to lose. As for the Oilers our entire team except 1 has already commited to traveling.

Are you kidding me? If I'm an Oiler, and after some of the seasons they have been through, and here they are in the final four of the AA championship series. You bet your ass I'm traveling. Just sayin, if I was an Oiler.

Preach it, Brother!! I liked your post but this part rang out. A winning team overcomes the setbacks and hardships. Yeah, travel has an impact but a great team overcomes it. If a team's "stars" can't make it to the far away games, the team has a structural weakness in relying heavily on someone that it can't always count on. The AA Stampede lost this past weekend in large part because we didn't contain Pomerlee, we weren't putting enough pressure on Tom, and we kept suckering for those fade/corner routes that hung in the air for days. Not because travel is mean.

Oilers, I can't say it enough. I'm proud of you and happy for you and how well this season has turned out for you. Keep doing what you're doing and if you just keep smashing everyone in the mouth, they can't talk... or at a minimum, they can't say anything that's understandable or worth listening to.

*DISCLAIMER: The preceding reference to mouth smashing was figurative and in no way promotes the actual inducement of physical harm or threat of physical harm on a player, coach, owner, team support staff, family member, league staff member, or fan of the Rocky Mountain Football League and its affiliated teams. Please don't ban me from the message board.*
