I know it's been over a week, but (like many of you) I spent the last week putting out fires and doing things I had pushed off until the season was officially over.
I just wanted to thank everyone that came down and played in the AA All Star game, and also apologize that it wasn't a better "event". I under-estimated what it would take (including the number of players that would actually show up to play) and felt like it was over-shadowed by the Stars & Stripes Tournament. In trying to both play in the game and be in charge of it, I'm afraid I didn't do either very well (a BIG apology to Coach Evison from the Blaze who acted as our OC--I didn't do him ANY favors on the field).
I've always been a big fan of the All Star game and promise to make next year's event better. I've talked to a lot of you that were there and have been gathering ideas (some of which are doable and some of which aren't) about how to improve it going forward.
At any rate, thanks for being patient with my learning curve, and like a lot of aspects of this job, I promise to do better as I get up to speed on everything.
Everyone enjoy the rest of the summer.
