As of last night, Dallas Hoffman has announced that the Snake River Sabercats will not be returning for the 2013 season. Click on the link below for the release on the Sabercats' website:
I've known Dallas for a long time and I think we would all agree that he has been a terrific GM and an asset to the league. I've been in communication with him off and on since the season ended and he just wasn't able to find anyone that he felt comfortable with that was willing to take the reins of the team. This is certainly a bummer for the RMFL, but I understand Dallas' reasoning for not continuing the team.
It appears as if most of the Sabercat players are finding their way to other teams in the Boise area. It's times like these I like to remind players to thank their GMs for the relatively thankless job of running a team in the RMFL--if it weren't for the hard work of GMs, none of us would have this amazing opportunity to play the best game in the world.
