NickVick: Well I’m sure that it will be a help to my on field stamina. Extra cardio can’t hurt right?
Hoop: Can’t! Any physical activity is good physical activity I assume.
So, what’s your opinion of the 5 team AAA? Honestly….
NickVick: I’m not a huge fan of itm but it is what it is. I know the GMs did the best thing for the league. I never played in the league before the split, but from the exhibition, Stars & Stripes, etc. there is a huge difference in the talent level from AA to AAA.
Hoop: I’d agree with that. “Is what it is” could be the best life used quote ever too. HaHa! You gonna miss travel? Some of our best times were on road trips. Yev, in Missoula. Old lady in I.F.. Man…. Good times! Remember those Nick?
NickVick: I’m going to miss traveling to small ghetto ID and MT towns the most! Nothing was better than traveling 8 hours, handeling bidness on the field and then spending the night on the town chasing local tail.
Hoop: Amen to that! I mean…. Not that we’d be chasing tail anymore. But still would be fun. You think there is 5 teams in the rest of the RMFL that could compete with the “Top 4” everyone always talks about? If so, name them.
NickVick: Well of course the top teams are gonna be the Shock, REV, Rebels and Stealth.
There aren’t any other teams in the league that would compete week in week out.
Hoop: HaHa! I agree. I think they know that too. Why they go to such great lengths to avoid playing us. Little kitties.
NickVick: You could probably take all the teams in ID, combine them, put their best players on the field, and they still wouldn’t win the Big Boy Ship.
Hoop: Remember when the all-star games when it was Utah versus those other teams? HaHa! Ugly. And the Utah teams were always drinking while the other guys were taking it all serious. HaHa! Good times.
Reminds me of your Mudd Duck brother Marcus that last one. “We are all-stars! This game is serious! We need to play like it! You just want to mess around and get drunk!”….. “Shut up scrub.”-Matt Thornton. HaHaHa!
NickVick: All-star game was all about fun. I remember the first one that I attended I had to stop at the liquor store for a GM of a certain team at 11am.
Hoop: We sat in the parking lot with said GM for 20 minutes waiting for it to open. HaHa! Got drunk, napped, got drunk again then played. We are dope!
NickVick: I’ve only played in 2 all-star games and I lost both. I’m pretty sure that’s a sign.
Hoop: The teams you were on were scrubs. Couldn’t have been you.
For real tho.. We had 9 Glacier Knights one year and 8 Mudd Butts the other. Set up for failure. I was the best QB the year with the Mudd Ducks. Always a BAD sign. HaHa!
NickVick: Yeah, the one in Pokey was a lil rough. When the opposing team is running plays and doing warm-ups…. And 8 of us are packed into my SUV downing beers. I think that might have had something more to do with it than the players on the team.
Hoop: Nope. Blame the other guys. Never our fault. Been with me since 2006 and I’m still teaching you the basics. Smh…
NickVick: I apologize. It had nothing to do with our level of soberness.
Hoop: That’s better. Anyway…. What’s your all-time favorite RMFL moment?
NickVick: Favorite all time RMFL moment… I would have to say traveling to Boise during 2010 playoffs. The Spartans already tought they had the ship in the bag.
Already had their championship game fundraiser. Already beat us in SLC.
Hoop: That was a good one. Foolish Idahoans.
Had our boy on that squad tho! WHO?!?!
NickVick: Nate Cone!!
He was once our QB in indoor, so we had the inside track on how to beat them.
Hoop: Ok… Best DL you’ve had to block in the RMFL… GO!

Biggest bum you’ve gone against?
NickVick: Hmmm that is a tough one. I don’t remember the names of the bad ones. I enjoyed playing the Arco team. They liked to run their mouths a lot and our offense was unstoppable that game. There was a DE #90 or #99 and I don’t remember him doing anything but talk the entire game. Hoop: They were FBs for sure! JK went all beast mode on our sidline and punked dude so he punched old man Emerick in retaliation. HaHa!
And I got flagged for it all. HaHa!

Well there you have it folks. Hope you laughed with us. I hope to talk to a rep from all the AAA teams this week. And if any AA guys have a sense of humor and think they want a shot to answer fun questions let me know.
The league board told me if we kept it clean they would post it on the front page of the website. But let's be honest.... I could care less about that. They don't really want us to have fun anyway unless it's at their terms, hence why they delete posts and/or hide them in "Members Only" and such.
Great write up guys! Velk's ok but what happened to my Blaze!!!! Coach Tad, Eric Peterson and Brian Smith have been playing hoop at the Elks lately in Missoula. They needed a bigger gym with a higher ceiling than the one they used to play in down the Bitterroot I guess. I understand it just doesn't feel the same when your court can be no bigger than the largest building in town which, as we all know, is a trailer.
