Reading Material: A Little Something For The Whole RMFL

I felt extra friendly and I also have nothing better to do, so here it is. Some extra things for you all to ponder about…

Some quick thoughts about the RMFL and throughout

Arco is quiet as usual, but they will continue to dominate Eastern Idaho, if they can get a decent QB, expect the status of Eastern Idaho to become elite again. (Still in the AA though)

Billings was kind of a disappointment. I picked them to be semi-finalist last year, but it didn’t happen. Expect bigger things this year as it usually takes a year to pan out what the RMFL competition is all about. It’s not always about the business, but the business does attract the better players.

Boise Generals were hoping to reap the benefits of the Spartans folding. Well, too bad their appeal for more than 5 players got shot down by the managing board. In the end, no matter who they add, until they do something on the field, they still finished 4-4 in the AA last year. Hey at least you don’t have to travel right?

Brigham has high hopes, I like these guys, I like their vision. But remember, sometimes when you shoot for the stars, you’ll fall through the clouds and land right on the ground. I don’t doubt that Brigham can do what they say they want to do, but in the end, the teams that come to Brigham need to bring it as far as the level of play goes, as well as the way they look. Brigham plans to play AAA next year, I just hope the lack of talent on some of the AA teams don’t scare away those potential long time fans and sponsors. If so, someone better put a mattress out, because falling on the ground, hurts.

Davis Vipers are still around, Rex is still doing something that not many people do: he is consistently bringing new faces into the RMFL. Although they eventually end up leaving his team, at least it’s new faces. Kudos to Rex. Abstain all day!

Dixie isn’t happy their back. They should’ve won back to back to back and rode off as one of the most dominant teams on the field and one of the most influential teams off the field. Well, they’re back. Uh oh.

Elko is my new home, so I can’t say too much about the town, but the team? Well, let’s just say they handed out a budget to businesses across town claiming the league fee was more than it actually was, and they  have budgeted over $30,000 to run their team this year. FYI, if I send you a potential player and you tell him that if he gets fined by the league and he doesn’t pay, you’ll fine him and if he doesn’t pay you, you’ll ruin his credit, umm that’s just bad business. For the league and your team! Quit threatening new players. Ryan, take care of your staff, they’re mean! And can I be on a AA roster and a AAA? Just wondering. But don’t ruin my credit if I don’t pay my fine.

Gallatin Valley Snow Devils – Well, I still don’t know where this place is, so I have little to say about them. But they don’t answer calls or emails from the league either, so I don’t feel so bad. Whew!

Gem State Guardians are back. That right there I give them props. After last year, I thought for sure they were going to be gone. I was wrong, they’re back! And they aren’t playing in some garbage Western Idaho League. For that I give them a fist bump.

Glacier is back!

Great Falls is back!!!! ---in the AA. Watch out, they have a winning streak to continue.

Idaho Lancers almost didn’t happen, but the old Sabercats and the old man was able to pull it together. I’m glad they were able to pull it together, and I truly hope this team is around for many years to come. Tom is like infinity years old, so they might as well be around for another infinity years.

The Matadors—are still AA.

The Mustangs – I don’t know a damn thing about these guys. I don’t have anything cool or funny to say. Oh, but they do have chrome helmets!! As if I needed a reason to squint when the sun shines on their helmets. .

The Bulldawgs are back where they should be. Let’s hope they can use this year to turn things around and get back to where they were before they stepped up cuz others wouldn’t.

The Diggers—I bought Kit Carney a shot at the league meeting. See, I really don’t hate anyone.

Missoula .. Seriously though, these guys are pissed. Rumor has it there was a video circulating around with some AA champs flipping the bird (not a Phoenix) and stuff yelling Eff Missoula and such. Trust me, if it costs me sponsors, I’d be pissed too. Watch for Missoula to…. Ummm … ….

Rocky Mountain Mudducks are sick and tired of being the red headed step child of the Stealth and REV. They have a home they can call their own. I’d say something about Tyler here, but I don’t want MK to proclaim her love for her husband anymore. =) Either way, mad respect for the Garcia’s and the Cagle’s for allowing players to develop. Can’t knock that.

Uintah is the only team that realizes that they finished 1st in the Utah AA division, and have zero shot in the AAA. Realists. But they did say they’d move up if they won, but would they? WOULD THEY!?

Upper Valley—is a big let down. Remember when the Lionz use to be good? What happened?

Utah Cobras, have changed colors. That’s it, it’s all I got…

The Shock will finish in the TOP 5 in the AAA.

Rumor has it, Jostens is already designing a back to back ring. Welp, why play? I’m just jealous my hand isn’t heavy. But maybe if I ever get my UIFL ring from a few years back, plus my Class of 2002 ring, I can talk about my hand being heavy? Don’t worry, I’m just jealous… Right?

The Revolution have Ryan Lang. And I just want to say Ryan Lang a lot because maybe Ryan will answer me on this forum and therefore that’ll guarantee at least one response. Oh and Ryan, don’t give me that BS about team, blah blah blah. That’s stupid, I’m not of of your little league players.

You balled out, but if I was tackling you, you would’ve have made it. Just saying. Oh and congrats!

There you have it, something about each team in the league. If you response with something stupid, don’t expect a response. If you don’t like me, I don’t care. If you want to beat me up, go ahead. If you wear Nike’s, I know who made them, and if you live in Utah, you probably MMA fight, rap or DJ.

One last thing: Myspace > Facebook.

Grow up. Get your head out of 2008... Facebook has proven themselves to be superior than your "friend" Tom's sorry excuse for a social website. Facebook > MySpace+Twitter

#1-Boise already got approved to add 10 Spartan players, and were hoping for another 15.  Now that players understand that if their management folds, if they want to stay together someone will need to take the reigns.  However, very cheap shot taken early by the Generals IMO.  Already got approved for 10 and feels entitled to the rest of them.

#2-I thank you

#3-This is true......but I find it kinda wierd that the Shock get another Week 1 bye.  Doesn't this happen every year?....Kyto stacking the deck by playing with the scheduling guy?

I actually didn't want a week 1 bye. Just the way the cards were dealt.

I am not mean, I am direct.  I don't sugar coat things, I do this so there is no room for misinterpretation.  And I never threatened anyones credit.  Kyto, you should ask for the whole story before you start blasting on an open forum.

Oh, and it was me that spoke to Damion, but he didn't listen.  He heard half of what was said and tuned out the rest when I mentioned the player fees.

Um.....Wow.

Cant we all get along..... You 2 need to come to my house and share a peace pipe. I'll even supply the "peace". Hoop you can come too....

First this is way out of proportion, the 8 games, we did have 8 games, call Wyoming Outlaws, Reno Demo and the Nevada Dream all 3 canceled a week prior to our games starting, and we were planning on hosting atleast one home playoff game, if God loves us, And Arco was a last minute option if they could come, thats how we had 8.
$30,000 was last years budget and was the projected amount for this year with so many games, made before the league meeting and league fees were set, we did pay extra last year...
I may be wrong but It was your bosses boss Kyto who wanted the projections, or someone there did and your the only company around town to have seen that sheet.

And I offered Damion to stand in at practice that day with one of my helmets, he didnt want to and I do try to hook up the lineman, I sure as hell cant block

Kyto were going to Boise this week, its preseason so I dont know if Jared would be cool with you going but your welcome, you too Hoop.....

Remember were all here for football not hate

p.s Kyto isnt spying on the Warriors, he is spying on Tray Shelton from the Diggers

Anyways I'll be waiting.... Ill get the peace started for you guys

Well you've defended yourselves about the credit ruining part. What about the rest? You know.... The fabricated numbers you're telling people it costs far as league fee, field fees for 8 games (What you need 8 field fees for?) and all the other stuff. All those things Kyto said true? I want to see one of these forms. HaHa!

Who's blasting who? I made a comment. Not sugar coated and I was also being direct.

What did I blast? I made that part up about the credit? Why would I do that?

I don't understand how I blasted you? You knew exactly what player I was talking about, you knew exactly the situation.

How am I blasting you? Tell how I blasted you exactly and didn't get the facts when you l row exactly what I was talking about.

If you're direct, don't sugar coat, and want to make it so I don't misunderstand. Make it clear as how I blasted you.

So, essentially you're calling me a liar for the "credit" line? Why would I make it up?

You're a man of facts, so I'll give my side of the story.

A gentlemen by the name of Damian asked me what the sticker on my car was (utahshock.com) and I explained it to him. I told him I was a player and owner for this team and that I was planning on playing again this year. He showed interest, but seeing that he lived in Elko, I told him about the Elko team.

He asked me if they were good, and I told them they were a work in progress, but they could probably use a few bodies.

He was later contacted by someone on the team about practice because he's a big body. The kid is easily 300+ pounds and was a former wrestler in high school. (He's 21)

He showed up to practice and he came to me and told me this alleged fabricated story.

Here are my questions:

1) Why would he make it up?

2) He allegedly told me you told him a cost for a helmet is $300+. Why would you tell new players that a helmet cost that much? Why not a price range? Hell, why not try to get an O-lineman a helmet to use for the season? Or did he just make this up too?

3) Why would you turn away someone who is related to the owner  of one (if not the busiest) restaurants in all of Elko? I thought not only did I send you a lineman with potential to be good, but I sent you a potential sponsor as well.

As far as me blasting, if you again, you considered what I did blasting, you must not be new, I've been around for almost 10 years, what I did wasn't blasting. For the record I reached out to Brad Thurber the week I moved to Elko and asked if I should see if I could maybe pass my knowledge to the Elko Warriors. I called Ryan the first week I was here. And although my schedule hasn't allowed a meeting, I did drive to your park on Saturday to talk to you, and I even drove by the high school. (Hence why Hoop was on your facebook, looking for details of your practice).

I don't need to spy on your team, I don't need to know how good you are or aren't. We don't play in the same divisions. But please, don't say I blasted you or call me a liar.

All I did was try to help. But hey man, you're direct. You don't sugar coat things. I never had nor do I have any problems with Elko, my last comment was semi-true. I'd play for Elko if I was in town. I don't have a slight issue with Ryan whatsoever.

This is fun! Besides now look, you're going to increase the views on this forum and now people will really be excited for the RMFL season.

haha!  Looks like I'm a bit late on responding to this and yes.....it shall generate a response from Ryan Lang (like the first person talk?).  That championship game was the biggest game I've ever played in.  I didn't play in college unfortunately and my alma mater West Jordan was garbage and we won like 2 games my senior year.  I've never been more physically and mentally drained after a game like I was after the championship.  Decent crowd, great weather, a title on the line and I got to play it againts a bunch of my friends and I happen to make a few plays.  Its games and EXPERIENCES like that that keep me coming back and saying, "Well, THIS is my last year."

Glad you fired up this forum Kyto, my nights while the fiance' is working are getting boring.

P.S.  No way on god's green earth was anybody stopping me at the goal line.  I've put too much into this to not have that moment and embrace it.....but you would've hit me harder than Aaron Smith haha! (much love you Aaron)
