Is it me or is it very ridiculous that not one player from AAA has been player of the week? but then again I guess the JK's and ChArlie Pertersons's already know they're better then the AA. Keep up the good work AA :)
How about a critical thinking exercise, not because I care who wins player of the week, but because I care about the league itself. There are about 245 minor league baseball teams out there and 30 major league teams what if each team in the Majors and Minors had 1 vote where do you think the voting power would lie and how does this relate to the RMFL?? Just a question no one get offended or explain to me how its all about playing the game and nothing else matters...

Just curious Sidekick as to what votes would have been different if say the AAA teams votes counted as two? And what is your opinion on a remedy? Not trying to argue just curious. Our team was for one league if it had been the format Brad put forward. We abstained from that vote both times because they voted on it before saying what the structure would be. That as far as I'm aware of is the AAA teams only issue with what was voted on. As far as the player of the week issues. AA teams tend to have one or two players that rack up crazy stats whereas AAA teams are more balanced. So when the numbers come out it makes it easier for people to vote for some guy with 15 tackles and 4 sacks over a guy that has 7 and 2 even though it is harder to pull the later off against AAA teams than the AA. Again just my thoughts.
No argument from me I'm glad someone has a thought process here. I actually don't believe in a one league format some teams absolutely cannot compete and we all know that. The problem lies in the lack of incentive in moving up...what's the difference? Its a hell of a lot harder to win in the AAA and a lot more travel....I see no reason to move up do you? Unless your about pure competition you stay down less travel easier games and more voting power. You say two votes for AAA one for AA as an option? How about one vote for AAA and no votes for AA. You want a vote build your program and earn one.....just and option I don't know the solution but this would incentivize folks to move up don't you think?

I think I speak for the 90 of AAA players when I say I don't give a shiet about a player of the week status
The fact that I play in the AAA makes me player of the week.
People don't wanna move up because of travel, or "we just wanna play ball"....these are the same lames whining about player of the week shout outs, gtfoh
Stay down in AA and make 15 tackles a game and after the game, you can wear your jerseys down at the local bar and play big shot lol
man its all location..I wanna see triple A Allstars Vs. Double A stars..make playing ground more even. The AAA teams have a way bigger athletic pipeline so the teams are stacked w studs and with less weak dudes..The Double A has more lames and less studs but you take all dub A ballers vs Trip A stars we got a game..Some guys in lower division would be solid in AAA no doubt about it.
I agree with Speedy Gonzalez there...most of the rural areas that AA teams are from just cannot produce the amount of "good" football players needed to compete at the AAA level. Nor would it be fun for anyone involved. I heard the Vikings showed up with 11 guys, started with 12, and a 13th showed at halftime? Really Hoop, Youainttrillxxx, you AAA studs who want one league...or call the AA doo doo...you guys want to play those teams? If a AA team is good enought to play AAA, they will win a championship. Is it the AA players faults who have never won a championship that the teams that won never moved up? Is it the Matadors fault that they have been to the ship twice, but never won, therefore did not need to move up? No, it is the commissioner's and the board's fault at the time each team refused (several) that they were not "forced", coerced, or lost their seat at the RMFL table for not moving up. Leave those guys who never played college football, or football at a "high" level in the AA, and let's see if some Football Players can jump from AA to the BIG SHOW in the next few years. If not....what will happen to the RMFL, this wonderful organization that helps and allows MEN to continue playing the game we love?
Ummmmm.... I've been against one big league from day one dummy. And then I watched the Sting @ Elko and..... I feel even better about a 5 team AAA. So yeah...... There's that. As far as AA vs. AAA all-star game goes, really? You know AAA opted out of having an all-star game all together because the best players didn't care to go and those of us that did played with alcohol in our systems and used it as a time to have fun and meet guys from around the league. But those pesky AA guys always wanted to take it serious and probably use "I'm an all-star from the RMFL" line to get some local kitty at the bar. So since neither one of you researched your topic before typing your post, please refrain from speaking while grown folks are having a conversation. Thank you and have a nice day.
id love to go do some Indy stuff with you fellas.. toss the ball aroubd a bit..See how good you really are at the position. No help from teamates..Haa actin like no dudes in AA could make you look dumb as hell

Speed might kill, but attempting to read that ^^^^^^^ mess might make a few people confused and slightly stoopid. No AAA teams want to play Elko, that's not the point. The point is that every year teams CAN and are CAPABLE of competing in this league's upper division, YET OPT OUT of playing. There are absolutely guys in the AA who are AAA caliber. Javon, Marshane, Jocko, Cam Hall, etc.
Heaven help us all. We could have a "Indy" competition to see who has the biggest junk....I just don't think I have ever seen a football game won in an "indy " competition....so who cares?? Or instead Mr. Speeddidntkilllastyear you could jot down your stat line from last year thereby allowing us to see how great you are as opposed to the AAA players... Or we could not miss the point and figure out a good way to make the league marketable....just thinking...

Location? Really? Last I recall the Dixie Rebels are at least 4 1/2 hours from the nearest competition and Dixie State has won 3 games the past 2 years.
Boise has been a football powerhouse for a while now and there arent any teams from there are stepping up yet you see the Matadors and Generals beating the #$%^ out of people week in and week out.
Montana State has been 7-1 in conference the past 2 years and a Montana team has hosted and won the AA championship the past 3 years as well.
So im confused as to why Montana and Idaho dont have 3-4 AAA teams to play in conference. I heard this was one of the proposals at the league meeting but not one AA team wanted to step up.
This was the results of the AAA in 2009.

Its been done before, so why are teams afraid to do it again.
uh oh i c wee man frm da shock talkin again hahaha kick urself in da head for me i love dat... naw i juss love readin wen lil guy blows a fuse one league so everyone stop cryin all da damn time
Generals Dors and dawgs could all compete and win at the AAA level on a weekly basis and they all got dudes that can ball out and should be gettin player of the week. We need to start having a couple of cross league games or ( out of conference) games and see if these AA team are as ****y as yall are sayin
they probably dont wanna travel to utah every weekend.....would the salt lake teams be down to travel to boise for every road game? doubt that.....and bulldawgs are a compleatly different orginization....from what im hearin they have many new players all new coaches and general manager
Every team in AAA traveled to Horseshoe Bend last year to face the Spartans, who ended up forfeiting their playoff game because they didn't or couldn't travel.
The Dixie Rebels traveled to Idaho State University and played the Gladiators at Holt Arena where the Rebels had 3 running backs that had 100+ yards & TD's each.
Seems to me like Idaho and Montana are playing for the love of the game as long as the game is local, y'all might as well join your city rec. softball league.

Wow so like once or twice a season? Try doing it every weekend or every other weekend for a couple seasons then get back to me on how strong your numbers are.
Once again, this is a moot point. There are currently 5 AAA teams. Count on AT LEAST 2 of those teams closing their doors and retiring, which leaves 3 teams remaining.
Now I wouldn't put it past the AA teams voting for a 21 team AA division and a 3 team AAA division instead of a 1 division league, the likelihood of that happening will be smaller than this year. BUT...it still might happen.
AA teams voted for a 1 division league this year. Don't pass the blame.
When the league meeting was adjourned Friday night, there was 1 Division. It's time to point the finger somewhere else. There was a 25 team AAA on January 25.

I agree about the AA teams punking out of movin up. This year will be different.
What makes you say that when there are YEARS' worth of history indicating otherwise? Have Utah AA teams spoken up and publicly committed to moving up next year? Not to be a "richard" but honestly, I don't see a MT or ID team making the jump... I haven't even heard any rumors about maybe/kinda/we're thinking about it/we'd consider it if the league bought our gas and hotels that would bump a MT or ID AA team up.
Hell, I don't even know about my own team... that's management stuff, yo. I'm just an overaged, semi-below average player who is ASSURED of a bench spot if we moved up to AAA next year. However, there is a League Constitution that mandates how-- nevermind.

I love you the way you changed my words in The quote. "Voted the way the AAA wanted?"
Caucasian please!
No speculation here. Does this sound familiar?
A certain AAA team threatened to fold if the AA didn't vote on 1 league. Once the vote was complete that team stated that they were bluffing.
Then during karaoke/skank bar time all the AA were pondering what the hell just happened. (Buyers remorse)
Brad, Jess, and Sarge made the rounds talking to all GMs. From what I understand (from a very good source) not 1 GM was happy with the vote including you prompting the revote.
The Staff presented a 4 division AAA option which was declined
Logan pushed hard for 1 league and stated that they would petition to move to AA. If they were denied they would fold.
Great Falls petitioned to move down- Approved
Magic Valley petitioned to move down- Approved
Logan petitioned to move down- Disapproved
So not only did the GMs vote to split they also voted against Logan moving down to AA forcing them to fold. Remember AA has the voting power.
Im sure there is a record of the vote. Maybe the results should be released to see who voted what.
My GMs a very good note taker.
Looking forward to your "In depth" response
*note- Generals did push pretty hard for a 1 division league

And everyone whined about having buyers remorse the rest of the night hence the revote on Saturday morning. AA has the voting power. Who's to blame again?

And ONE AAA MEMBER (the one who began the mess) whined about having buyers remorse the rest of the night hence the revote on Saturday morning. AA has the voting power. Who's to blame again?
FIFY
We voted on AAA the next day the way the AAA members asked us to vote, in favor of a 6 team AAA that included the Logan Stampede who sold their own division out and folded.
Got his strut on after the hit too. Without the helmet.
Solo said it best in a previous post concerning the jump from AA to AAA. Paraphrasing Solo and adding a little: Let's not forget The Shock used to be a AA team (Muddogs). The year after we won the AA title the team made the jump to AAA. JK was injured and the team won one game that year. The next year the team competed week in and week out. It can be difficult for teams to do, yes. However, it does take a little time and can definately be done year in and year out by the AA champs. Just takes the effort to succeed.
dam phynn y u bashing us like that lol.but i will agree every team is not filled with player who play at a higher level in the AA but they have some guys that can play wit AAA players.
Friday, the vote that even you say is controlled by the AA, passed a one division league. The motion was made and seconded by AA teams.
After meeting Friday with each other the former AAA they decided they are okay with a 6 team AAA, asked for a revote, so we gave the AAA what they wanted.
Anybody else that was actually there recall it differently?
If you can show me where AAA teams pushed for or voted for a one league division on Saturday, I will gladly retract my statement.
And thesole AAA team that folded didnt get brought down to AA because they werent anbad team nor faced with a huge travel schedule, they had no business moving down, especially not after the charade they put on in the previous meeting by calling the Gladiators chickensh*!$ for not moving up and made the claim about "never playing aa again," and "aaa was the best decision we ever made."
Saturday morning the Stampede GM bolted for UT,and a rookie kid was put in a position to petition down despite neverhaving played in the league.
24 teams called their bluff and denied their request...if I recall, even Rex Stacy voted no.
