The time that is afforded by retirement allows for many great extracurricular activities. Such as writing short columns for the RMFL and even sifting through this wonderful message board. (if you don’t understand why the sifting technique your probably the reason for it). Over the years the content here has been on a steady downward spiral. Gone are the days that every teamwould be on here Sunday morning (or afternoon depending on the B.A.C) congratulating and thanking each other for a game well played as well as giving individual players shout outs… I am deeply saddened by this development so I write today in memory of those days…. The disclaimer reads like this: It’s my team these are the guys I would pick if trying to play an all-star game against another league. If you don’t like it write one and let’s see the difference.
MIDSEASON ALL RMFL TEAM
DEFENSE
DE- Jason Mapu, Revolution- Intelligent player understands the game, when to rush and when to sit down, and when to play the run.
DE- Wayne Alofipo, Rebels- Absolute monster if he wants to beat you… your beat.
DT- Mike Johnson, Rebels- Great Motor he can push the pocket against any single block and most double teams.
DT- Troy Peterson, Shock- Possibly has the best hands in the league as far as playing D line he is quick off the ball and is a nightmare matchup wise. Lacks some size, makes up for it with heart.
LB- Kelon Brooks, Shock- I believe it is possible he has been in on every defensive play made by the shock this year. Great athlete and has the ability to strike a blow.
LB- Justin Walker, Stealth- Very smart middle backer runs his lanes well and is great getting off blocks and disrupting the run game.
LB- Levine Tupe, Revolution- He can shut down your run game single handedly if needed. Displays a great ability in dropping to pass zones, great ability to be where he needs to be, good instincts.
CB- Angel Castillo, Revolution- Stats are not great this year outside of deflections, but I bet your team doesn’t want to throw at him…Very smart, always in great position to make a play.
CB- Greg Tichen, Stealth- Solid player in coverage he will come up and help in the run gameand is one errant throw from a touchdown.
FS- Brandon Thompson, Rebels- D end?? I mean free safety he is a monster has great speed and helps the Rebels a ton in the return game.
SS- David Bishoff, Rebels- When I watched the Rebels play this kid was everywhere picks and tackles I like his motor and football intelligence.
OFFENSE
QB- Jordan Kjar, Shock- He can absolutely take a game over in the run game or the pass game he is accurate in the pocket and out, and is incredibly hard to get down.
RB- Orlando Poloa, Revolution- I know I know probably no the popular pick… I like him he blocks and he runs very hard. He seems to have a nose for yardage rarely getting tackled behind the line.
WR- Joe Mapson, Revolution- fast…enough said?He is actually very good over the middle also running the slants and crossing routes inside a rare quality for a outside receiver.
WR- Tanner Wood, Rebels- Great hands and routes, never seems to get tackled by the first guy even though he is smaller in stature and plays on the inside, very crafty.
WR- Sam Thomas, Stealth- Prototype outside reciever long arms and great stride. He can be a game breaker.
WR- Ryan Lang, Revolution- Mr. Reliable I like Lang for this reason alone I think you can rely on him for whatever you need.
OL- Steve Hansen, Revolution- Has a nice pass set and can move the line of scrimmage in the run game.
OL- Braeden Gates, Rebels- Very smart plays the toughest position out there and seems to be able to shut down most D linemen.
OL- Trip LaDeau, Revolution- Great player great guy I believe he is a consummate teammate and can at worse come up with a draw at the line.
OL- Ken Byrd, Stealth- Massive amount of man here moves pretty well for a big guy and can be a load in the run game.
OL- Silipa Tupola, Shock- I have only seen him play once in the Stealth game I believe (I may have even mistaken his identity) but he is good. Great punch, he can stop a D lineman just off his first strike.
K- Scott Thomson
There it is a mid-season player report. Let’s try and get some positive feedback, possibly some players that I missed and deserve accolades. Thanks for the reading!!

That's a PTP right there sir!! Prime-Time-Post You are correct and this is why I started my predictions this year, wanted to provide decent reading material. Spark some decent conversation and debate, and comedic relief.

Very great write up! Alot of people still do very much appreciate and look forward to these that you guys do. I agree with these picks for the most part. Someone to look out for is that Steve Vincent with the stealth, towards seasons end I think he could make a push for the qb spot. Stealth could be on the up and up, looks like we may have a very tough AAA thru out the rest of the season. I agree with Turk, prime time post!
Troy is the best player in the league (my opinion)! He may not be the biggest but ask any O-lineman he goes against and they will tell you he is amazing. Great pick putting him on this list. I believe you are correct saying KB has been in on every play for the D. I don't know how he does it. Year after year he seems to get better with age. Gates for the Rebs and Trip for the Rev are great picks as well. Very good players and classy!

First of all thank you to Turk and football junkie. I do agree with you on the Stealth and their QB he has certainly elevated their team I look forward to the second half of the season! Mr. Vickers I believe I noted that I may have mistaken his identity. O-line is a difficult position to pick here because of the lack of opportunity to see everyone more than once or twice. You though should be a expert here I'm interested in your choices for O-line...by the way how is the season of protecting JK going? Maybe your on the list?
