For those of you who may read this and want to be all cranky pants and flex your muscle please feel free. But also remember that this is simply my opinion and I only go off of facts and statistics that I have access to. To me selecting an All Star should be based simply on statistics and not a popularity contest. So I present my selections for the middle of the road honor that means absolutely nothing!

OL1- Matadors
OL2- Generals
OL3- Cobras
OL4- Bullets
OL5- Sting
HONORABLE MENTIONS: Gladiators and Bulldawgs, they did not make the list because both the Sting and Bullets have more first downs and first downs/per game.

Oiler66, haha!! There were a lot of names I wanted to add to this, I could have went on but tried to be as realistic as possible. I did the offensive lines the way I did because of the lack of stats I had. But I still think I was accurate in them. I have mad respect for the oilers organization and always will. Problem was this year compared to the rest of the league there were some guys that just weren't having the type of statistical year as they did last. So I wanted to stay true to paying homage to those who have out up the numbers so far and not make it about "names." A lot of these guys on this list needed to be recognized for the numbers they are putting up. I know your not complaining I just wanted to clarify in case anyone else comments.

I think you have a fairly good list so far. Most of us can tell you most be a Utah local but thats ok, its easier to pick teams like this when you see them play week in and out. But your explanation of stats over names is always refreshing when so many on here are just talking up their buddies. The one flaw i see in that logic however is your defense contains no members of the Boise Generals and from my knowledge and looking at the AA stat page they still have not allowed the biggest defense stat of all this season.... A score.
And yes I've heard they have several of the old AAA Spartans on their team, especially on defense but to be almost halfway through the season and not allow a score is pretty impressive in my mind. Especially when they have played a hard nosed Arco team that pummeled the previous undefeated Bulldawgs and a Mustangs team that seems to find the endzone nearly every game. The last half of this season is going to be full of great games for the AA part of the league as the competition gets stiffer and the real teams start to licking their chops to get those playoff spots.

Oiler66 according to the RMFL homepage and your teampage, you have only 2 shut outs and they werent in a row.... is this a misprint??? or is that really a 3 game shutout streak?

dozer60 our defense hasn't allowed a point in three straight games. The 6 points the Warriors scored was on a interception/fumble recovery by their defense to score. So yes our defense has shut out our opponents in three straight games, but our offense allowed 6.
thanks for the clarification, well done on the 3 game "defensive" shutout. However if we're getting technical, isnt when a ball fumbled or intercepted the possession changes? So in theory doesn't your "offense" become "Defense" once the ball changes possession meaning your defense WAS SCORED UPON???so we could argue again the 2 game shutout??????
THis is just for fun and to ruffle feathers :) i think the AA this year has produced some phenomenal defensive teams from all divisions.

Haha your right dozer I wanted to forget the six that was put up against us against Elko so I guess I really did haha. The three people that come to my mind that could come up on this list tho are Tyler Reinhardt for his special teams play who has put the offense in some great field position, Jeff Holden he has recovered most if not all of our forced fumbles, Travis Maxfield has 4-5 tds and then always gotta put Kenja Mappisland cause no one has thrown to him this year. I dont ever complain I like reading all the people complaining then Darrell turning the situation into something hilarious and fun to read
Dozer I'm not sure how being a Utah local makes any difference lol I thought my list was very well built and very un biased. If a Utah player made my team it's because his stats on the RMFL site made him deserving. And trust me I have no doubt that the generals organization is killing it right now and have some very deserving players. At the end of the season they will probably be recognized by the league. But if you go look at the list just like I explained to Oiler66 a lot of the generals defensive player stats are either middle of the pack or lower. that's where I ran into the dilemma of truly going off stats or putting a player on the list just because of the team they play for. This list will be very different at the end of the year I'm sure. But more then half of my offense is from Idaho and Montana and pretty much same for the defense, heck half the defense is matadors lol. Like I said if a Utah player is there then it's because they deserved it.
Oiler66: the guys you mentioned from your team are the same guys I was talking about.

dozer60 I see what youre saying, but again it is counted as a "Defensive touchdown" so you can argue the point that it was scored as such. I haven't seen any stats posted about defensive touchdowns on the league site.
Reigning defensive player of the year player Kenja Mapp has had maybe 6 throws to his side or man with a pick and two deflections with 0 TDs against. That's why his stats are down haha. It's up to Thurber to change that next week. Also what doesn't show on stats is his block against the Vipers that took out THREE vipers and allowed the interceptor to score.
Much respect to a player who can stick it out but doesn't make the play EVERY down.
Stay humble.

Trill,
No doubt, I like to call them dudes grinders, grinding out the play even if they havent had a role in it. I believe that is what this league was built on, and what makes it great.
Conetah,
I'm sure Kenja will improve his stats come end of the year. Just because he wasnt on the list doesnt mean I dont believe he is an impact player.
