I am sad to say I have watched football for over 20 years and have never seen such bad sportsmanship as I did tonight The vipers continuous cheap shots on other players.. Number 10 of the vipers going off sides intentionally on a extra point to injure the holder is disgusting and class less. That's not what the sport is about if you can't play a fair game with class you shouldn't be playing at all... Sad day
I also seen that game not the worst cheap shot I've seen but pretty close. I believe it was done to injure the cobras quarterback cause he wiped the field with them. In the end it's just a game no need for that kind of non sence
I guess if you're as bad as the Vipers then a cheap shot is the only thing for them to get yoked up about. Pretty sad. This also isn't the only dirty incident #10 has been apart of this year. I think it's time that this guy is reprimanded more then a flag. I'm embarrassed for them.
The Vipers have been dirty for a long time. In the Stars and Stripes last year one of their d linemen trip to kick me in the head while I was down on the ground. Winning 2 games a year in AA brings out the heaux in a man apparently.
Congrats on the win Cobras.
Jaye isn't your QB a Cyprus allum? he'll be good! The water makes us tough out here! Haha
JW just left for a 7 day vacation so all is well in that regard. i wont respond in regards to what happened in that game. ill be submitting the video from both games and the league can sort it out. in the first game against them, we retalliated to protect our players and ended up looking like the bad team. we felt like the refs were not protecting us. this game we walked away and the refs did a good job. i dont care about hard hits or clean shots but we all have to work on Monday and some of that stuff can impact a person's way to make a living. most of the vipers guys are good dudes. sometimes, on any team, a few bad seeds can convince guys that playing dirty is being aggressive. either way, the cobras are all able to go to work on Monday and that is most important. we will see how the league handles it moving forward.
Idk bout the part saying that #10 "targeted" the QB because he "wiped the field with em" the cobras did only have 1 offensive Td that game.
That being said, I def agree that there needs to be some attitude changes on the team. I think it tends to happen to alot if teams at any level when they continuously lose games. Especially by shooting themselves in the foot. Not making excuses for anyone if my team members. There is no reason to display such low level Of class... Ever.
It says alot about a person's character when they realize the game is played between the whistles. When the play is over, we are just a bunch of guts playing the game we love who Happen to be on opposing squads. Once people (on all teams) realize that, the RMFL will be a much better league to play in. I'm not a long time veteran, this us only my second year.. Sadly the Air Force has decided it is also my last year. But from what I have seen there is alot of faulty character on both sides of the ball During any given game. Negativity breeds negativity and class breeds class simple as that.
I played in that game yesterday between the Vipers and Cobras. When dudes got some good hits on me, I didn't get up n get in their face, I let em know they had a good hit, when I made a good play, some of the opposing players let me know "good run" "good pass"... Class breeds class simple as that. At the end of the day (just like we say in the circle at the end if each game) we are all just trying to enjoy playing the game we love... So play from whistle to whistle enough with the tasteless classless trash talk and dirty play

Just a correction for viper11 there were 2 offensive touchdowns both at Least 40 yard touchdown passes by the cobras quarterback. And the first game cobras quarterback buried the vipers for over 200 yards.. So I don't know why ur trying to make light of this kids talent.. Either way dirty play is dirty play!! It needs to dealt with before someone gets hurt
Zep...thanks for the correction. I noticed the mistake as well but his point was well taken and appreciated. I hope that youre not a COBRA player. We don't care about stats or any of that stuff. The topic was dirty play and not JW touchdowns. I give you a "pound", #11 and thank you for your post. As I said, we all survived relatively uninjured and are moving forward. I hope everyone else does the same. On a positive note, it was a great weekend of football.
All the worry about the quarterback, what about the kicker, he seemed hurt too....Great job to the coach of the Vipers for coming on the field and giving the player a high five and to the WR #5 who felt a cheap shot deserved group celebration... It does suck to lose, but wow.....someone post a link to the video so everyone can see and judge...

This is the link to the video. You can make your own judgements. This is not the only play in our two matchups that were "out of line". This is just the worst one because it's obvious that they targeted our starting QB. Like I said, we started to retaliate in our first game so I did not report anything to the league. I felt like we didn't just "walk away" so I didn't feel right saying anything. However, after this game something needs to be done. Nels Haltom, (our kicker) was also injured. That kid is barely 18 years old and has been invited to numerous kicking camps all over the states. He has made two 48 yard field goals this season and is just in our league to get better in game situations.

I believe Jaye has the video, and it has already been submitted to the league for review, it would be up to him to post it. It's probably the worst display of sportsmanship I have ever witnessed in sports. I would be pretty surprised and shocked if the league doesn't act upon it.

As I said on my FaceBook page, I don’t have a problem with Rex or even #10. I’m not sure that I want them to be suspended or kicked out of the league.I'm not sure how it should be handled. I actually have had some great conversations with Rex. BUT, I think that leadership/discipline starts at the top. I have had players that have acted out and made bad decisions in the heat of battle. I can understand/respect that. We are all competitive and have egos. As a player/gm…..I have done it myself, (sorry Snow Devils 2011) and sometimes I get emotional and forget my gm hat. BUT there is always someone in my camp to “calm the waters” and bring me/whoever back to reality. As a gm/coach and NOT a player, Rex should have been the one that grabbed the kid and let him know that THIS wasn’t ok. However, he gave props to the guy. These actions seem to be calculated, precise and approved by their leader. We aren’t “goons” (no disrespect to the guardians) and shouldn’t be plotting to injure players. I stayed up last night and watched both games and noticed a lot of things I didn’t see in our first meeting. I was so upset at MY players for retaliating that I didn’t really watch the game film or turn anything into the league. I posted this video only because CALCULATED actions like this CANNOT be tolerated. I’m not sure how to ask the league to handle it because like I said, I like Rex (off the field) and have respect for a lot of the Viper players. I will just submit the things that I have found to be inappropriate and let Jess sort it out and decide how to handle it. Keep your heads on a swivel gentlemen and remember that we do this for FUN and all have families, kids, careers, jobs and futures outside of football to deal with. This is a “GAME” and should never be taken so serious that we jeopardize another players LIVELIHOOD…..on purpose. Sometimes, seeing yourself on video makes you realize that your actions were wrong and the embarrassment changes you.

Kick his ass out of the league, the hit was bad, the celebration was even worse, and the coach giving the player a high 5 is probably the worst! I get that losing sucks and is probably very frustrating to be one of the worst teams year in and year out, but really? Who in their right mind thinks that this is ok?
UPDATE: The player was suspended for two games and fined $100. Rex was warned for his behavior, and it was noted that if the player acts like this again he will be banned for life.

Thanks for the update Turk glad to hear it is being felt with before someone gets really hurt! I have been watching this league game for 3 years and for the most part it has been classy players and staff. High five to RMFL for taking care of its players.
Ya'll was right, my apologies on the incorrect stat-- Wager had that first over the middle td pass (60-ish) yards in the 2nd I had forgot about-- my fault. Wasn't trying to take anything away from The kid. He played a good game.

Viper 11 is the best overall classy individual and human being on the Vipers squad...He is an example of what players in this league should be about. take it to the bank

Being a member of the Vipers seems to come with backlash. It's been a rough season so far, but we have no one to blame but ourselves. Not to take anything away from any of the other teams because you did the necessary to come out on top. Being my first year of many I hope playing for the team I look for us to change this culture we have slipped into and be seen as just a team giving 100% each game. Whether we win or lose, holding our heads high with the thought that clean hard football was played. I apologize for the way we acted and havehigh hopes we will finish the season on a positive note. Sting we look forward to the opportunity to play spoilers tomorrow, and wish you a good game.
