I would like to take a minute to send a post to everyone one following this page. With a certain amount of reluctance, I am officially resigning as head coach of the Uintah basin oilers. I also want to announce that I am selling my shares of the corporation Uintah Basin Oilers, inc. to Jeremy Conetah. With that said, I would like to thank all my friends and family with a special thanks to Karla Bristol Slaugh for all of the support that you have given me and my team as I have hopefully re-sparked an interest in the game of football in the Uintah Basin. I would also like to thank Todd Shiner for the support and loyalty that he has given me. We coached the Oilers for 4 1/2 seasons finishing with a record of 19 wins and 18 losses in seasonal play. 1-1 in pre-season play and also 1-1 in the 2012 playoffs. One game away from a championship.
I have coached football for 15 years. 12 years in the little league program in Vernal at the 7th and ...8th grade level. 4 1/2 years with the Oilers and one season with the Uintah High Sophomores.
I have decided to move on and focus on my life with my family. I have so many wonderful memories going back to 1998. Many of those kids are now grown and have their own families. A few names that I will never forget, and I feel I need to mention, Colton havens, Dakota Havens, hunter Murray, Caden Postma, Andrew shiozaki, Shane priest, Braxton coonis, Riley domichele, treygan daniels. I know I've missed several but there are literally hundreds. Everyone who played for the Oilers. It has been a real journey.
I would like to wish all you Oilers players that are going to continue to play the best of luck. Jeremy has a lot of passion and will do a great job with the team.
Good luck and thanks again.
An added thanks to Shane P Jackson, Micky Kiever, Jason Jason Maynard, Brandon Johnson, and all the wives that made it possible.

Thanks to The RMFL and all the people responsible for making this opportunity possible for me and all the young men that play the game. It has been a wonderful experience.
