For those who've been around a while...

I didn't know Vell on a highly personal level, but he was a part of the UFL/RMFL, and was a part of this, "the RMFL family". I do remember he was one of a very slight few who would even considered giving me a shot to play when I got out of high school.

Rest in peace and may God be with you.

My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family.

To all you former Nemesis guys, WHO RIDE!

I had the chance to play with Vell for 3 seasons. At the time I was a 19 year old kid who didn't know dick about the game or how to be a solid HB in this league. Totally looked up to Vell and he is definitely a part of the RMFL family. The world lost a good man today.

Marvell was the one that got me into this league.  He was a great football player and a even better man.  The world lost a great human being today.  It makes you hold you loved ones a little tighter because you never know when it all will end.

Played against Vell back in UFL days when Cougars and Longhorns were around. He was fun to play against and good competitor and RB. RIP and god bless to him and family...
