Hey guys!! I really don't get a chance to check in nearly as much as I should, but having checked out the latest developments, web sites and new Commissioner/staff, I just have to say... well done fellas!!! I wouldn't go so far as to say that Travis didn't do a good job, too, but I will say that whatever Brad Thurber is doing, really makes the league feel... more like 'old times... Maybe its just something simple as going away from the title of "president" and back to "commissioner", but I think it's more than that. Thank you for that!!! I'm reading about games and previews and there are still many of my old favorites still playing!! I do wish they would recapture all of the old articles and history of the RMFL written from 1997 thru 2011, though; I personally poured thousands of hours into those writings over the 11 years I had the privilege of facilitating the league. Even if just stashed away in a history folder somewhere. Regardless, I really appreciate all Brad and the staff are doing and I am so happy for the players and GM's of today's RMFL. Keep up the good work! I'll try to make it out for a game now and again!
Agreed Jared, lots of us have been saying for awhile now we need to have Archived information about the league somewhere on the site. I think the current staff's issue is getting ahold of all that information. Kyto and some others can touch base better on this than I, but from what I know and hear, the fallout out from old to new webmasters...may have something to do with the lack of information being available on the site.
Btw, Hi Jared!

Hey Jared! Thanks for the shout out. As one of the few that can actually appreciate the amount of work it takes to run the RMFL, I appreciate the compliment. Fortunately for me, I have a GREAT support staff to delegate to.
I wish we had all of the archives on a server or in a database somewhere. Unfortunately, we are going to have to try and re-create as much of the league history as we can. If you happened to save any of the articles you wrote digitally, we would take anything we could find. Michael Patrick Connelly (who is a lot younger and has a lot more energy than I do) has begun to take on the task of trying to re-create the "lost years". We'll start big (Champions, Team Records, etc.) and try and gather as much detail as we can.
If you ever decide to come out of league administration retirement, let me know; I can send you a few phone calls :).
Just keep it up, Brad! You running the RMFL is at least as good as me running it... without actually having to do the work!!
I will look. I'm sure I have some files still somewhere. Just not all of them. I'd think that the web master from Helena, that was there when I left would have them ALL stored... somewhere.
I'll stay tuned and make it to the next nearby Brad Thurber event I see (game, meeting, etc.)
If I find anything from the past, I'll send it in.
