Rocky Mountain Football League

Let's clarify ONE of those rumors.... It wasn't said that they can guard any WR in the league. Just the Shock's outside WRs. So, me and Thornton. Well.... Stopping me isn't impressive but telling the league MVP he isn't going to be able to do anything....... Ok guys. We all saw what the REV did with their passing attack a few weeks ago, we will just leave it at that.

And now my picks....

Rebels @ Generals- Tom Bennet plays QB for the Generals, Rebels win BIG. If he doesn't, they still win. We saw last week that the Generals wont travel well, so basically what we already knew about this group. And they even have a guy to make excuses. They need Incognegro back tho! Rebels got a hard fought win against the REV last week and now face what will be their toughest opponent this week, travel. How will this new Rebel group travel to a game they have historically struggled in? I think they get enough key guys up north to get the job done and the Rebels win. Rebels-20 Generals-13

Cobras @ MuddDucks- This game has BAD written all over it. The Ducks still stink, and the Cobras are yet to prove they are a team to worry about. Hans will want to play well against his old squad and I think his offense is better than the Ducks offense. The Ducks defense still seems to be average to above average but unless they start scoring points they are still just a part of a losing team. This one really could go either way as it is just who wants to be worse..... I take the Ducks in that aspect. Cobras-13 Ducks-9

Stampede @ Stealth- I called the 3 TDs for a Stealth WR, HI SAM, last week and he didn't even need 200 yards to do it. Will the Stampede figure it out and stop him? Not likely. Sam Thomas goes for 120 and 2 TDs this week. Stampede threw the rock all over the yard up in Montana last week and got the W, well done. But this week they face the NO FLY ZONE defense! That sounds like a bad combo. Stealth will have their banner raised and ring ceremony before kickoff to celebrate the back-to-back ships and continue towards the three peat. Stealth-30 Stampede-12

Blaze @ Matadors- Blaze opened up with an absolute beat down of last years AA champs! Are they that good? Generals that bad? Both? They now have to see how well they can travel and I think that they will have just enough to get by. I really don't know much about the Matadors to be honest and I've been too busy to read game report. By busy I mean lazy. Blaze-21 Matadors-17

Bulldawgs @ Express- Bulldawgs beat up on the Montana team they had at home last week while Express let a QB do basically whateber he wanted at home. I don't think that the Dawgs have the passing attack that the Stampede might have but got to feel good going against air pretty much. Express are probably really mad that they lost at home last week because they take all this so serious and all so I look for them to bounce back. Bulldawgs-13 Express-18

Gladiators @ Bullets- The Gladiators suck agian in AAA? Weird. Is what it is and they are who we thought they were I guess. Bullets traveled last week to lose in Idaho so there's that I suppose. Anyone got a coin I can borrow to pick this one. Never mind, Cudi the Dog just stuck his nose on the Bullets logo. Gladiators-6 Bullets-7

Sting @ Shock- Well........ Semi entertaining talk back and forth leading up to this one. But that is about equal to how entertaining I see this game being really. Sting beat a trash MuddDucks team last week, that's cute. They now get to play a regular season game against a "real" AAA team. I'm sure they will be loud and proud and ready to go and all that jazz, but..... their offense isn't good enough and their defense isn't either. Sorry, just my opinion until you prove otherwise. Obviously I'm around those guys all the time and have never heard that talk come from any of our dbs, I've only heard respect given to the Shock's offense, and to the whole team for that matter.  Sounds like the old "Michael Jordan Technique" where words are taken, twisted and turned into "trash talk" and then those comments are used as fuel to beat down your opponent lol.  Don't get too mad at us guys,  we don't want to be down more than 3 scores by halftime! But seriously, much respect to the Shock, hopefully we earn some respect this weekend.

This is funny...and yes the Cobras and Ducks game in my opinion will be epic...like watching midget wrestling, or two fat kids fighting for a single powdered donut...

I would prefer the shock vs sting cause "rumor has it" the sting corners have been saying that they can shut down any receiver in this league. No shock guy is gonna take that with out some retaliation on the field.

Our DB's never said anything about the Shock. In fact I don't think anyone on our team did. That was just a tactic that they have used forever to try to pump their own team up. Everyone who has been around the league the last ten years should know that. Our game plan was simple. We played 5 or 6 DB's the whole game and then brought pressure. We knew they would not stick to the run no matter how successful they were with it and gambled by playing pass first the whole time. They did have a bunch of big runs and a touchdown rushing but in the end we were correct and they just kept throwing. Our guys played their hearts out and even though the Shock would probably beat us 9 out of 10 times we only play them once so I'll take it.

 Its funny that you should say that...what Hoops tried to do, is to somewhat build a bigger fan base...and I say that because we see it every time before a big fight being aired on PPV...which is good, but unless you have a slew of family members and friends coming in from out of town...the number of attendants will never be more than it already has been...and I would hope the Shocks are good enough to realize that they don't need the slanted mind of one guy to do their talking and not back it up...but like I said, I am shocked the Stings came out with a victory...I viewed them as another AA team being dominated and out performed by another AAA team...(Based off concerning past events)...but I'm liking the level of new competition the AA is bring to the AAA...makes it all more exciting each week, because you never know if your favorite team will get smashed by the underdog...and props to the Cobras, they stumped a mudd hole in the Mudd Ducks...(EPIC!!!)...maybe the Mudd Ducks should consider retreating to AA to regroup and reform...
