Week 6 AA

Oilers @ Vipers

Oilers dominant in their win last week proving that they are for REAL and ready to bring the championship home.  Vipers provide a stiff test this week at home and look to shake up the rankings a bit.  I still contend this Vipers squad is one of the better teams in AA and if they get healthy they can shock some people.  But unfortunately this is not their week as they lose at home—Oilers 21 Vipers 13

Mustangs @ Diggers

Is this a classic trap game for the Mustangs?  Nah, they are angry enough to roll in and get the W.  They blow this one out in the 2nd half—Mustangs 34 Diggers 3

Guardians @ Lancers

Lancers coming off their first franchise victory.  But did they celebrate too hard to follow that up with another one this week?  Guardians are looking to right their ship and finish the season on a strong note but they are just too banged up to make an impact.  Lancers notch their second victory 21-0

We are definitely not overlooking the talent of the Vipers this week!

Yes we're banged up, but hungry for a W. Don't count the Guardians out just yet.

Here's my take on this week's AA games

Oilers @ Vipers
Oilers strike back with a big win vs the mustangs last week after a disappointing nail biter win at home vs the Lancers. With their passing offense back in check, a defense that has finally come together, and if Idhe's can find the use of his legs again to hurt the vipers defense, this could be a one sided match up. Davis come off the big win this week vs the Warriors. However, the dismal ground game and low passing production, coupled with a defensive backfield that will struggle tremendously vs the big Oiler's WR, Davis will have a hard time keeping fan's in the stands past halftime.
Oilers 35-Viper's-0

Mustangs @ Diggers
The preseason favorites experience the long road home after a troublesome defeat in Unitah last week. Never an easy game to play after a long road trip and facing the #1 team in the division on a 4 game hot streak. After turnovers and poor offensive production on the long road trip, can the mustangs come back swinging? Their big oline gets back to business this week and allows Schatt the time he needs along with the other host of Mustangs RB's to run over the Diggers. While it's one thing losing to the best team in the AA, the diggers are coming into this game humiliated by the loss to the previously unwinnable Lancers, handing their organization their first recorded win in a game that seemed one sided. While the diggers will be able to produce through the air this week against the mustang secondary, their lack of a ground game against a big mustang front four will hand them another embarrassing loss. This game is won in the trenches by the size of the Mustang O/D line, and lost by the diggers for their lack of ground game. Can Carney's carnival and company pull out the upset? or did the lancer's game start the beginning of a long 5 game losing streak to end the season for the diggers?
Mustangs 34-10

***Game of the week*** Return of the toilet bowl?!?!?!

Guardians @ Lancers's

Lancer's come off a astounding victory to get their Tom Bennet free organization their first win. I can hear Bob Dylan in the background singing " the times they are a changin'". Lancer's do seem to be headed in the right direction after several close games to the AA division's top contenders. While their defense seems to be getting week after week, the offense is moving nowhere. While missing for 2 games, QB josh duty appears back and ready to run. However, the pathetic lack of ability to throw the ball to his plethora of WR's, this one dimensional offense will need to get things in gear in order to survive their remaining schedule and compete for a playoff spot. The winner's of last year's toilet bowl come into this game after long road trip loss in Montana. While the Lancer's seem to be headed in the right direction without Bennett, Tolman and company seem to have taken the left fork and are headed nowhere. While this team shows up battered and bruised from numerous injuries, they still show they can put up a fight. If the stingy Lancer defense can hold back the fiesty Guardian running backs from the endzone, I think this low scoring snooze fest ends with Lancer's on a record breaking 2 win game streak.
Lancers-14-Guardians-0

Let the arguing begin.

Oilers @ Vipers

Oilers coming off a convincing win over the Mustangs. They have a short drive over to Davis to play the Vipers. The Vipers are coming off a win as well and are liking the taste of  victory.  They are read for another win and they have the athletes to do it. They are hoping to get 1 up on the Oilers this week before they have to play them later. In the end the Vipers cause a lot of destruction in the back field,  but Ihde is a shifty little dude and makes some yards to keep the Oilers ahead. Oilers win 21-14.

Guardians @ Lancers

Lancers are super excited about their win from last week. They are definitely a better team than their record suggests. They are going against the Guardians this week, who have been having trouble keeping guys healthy. In the end the Lancers double their Ws and take the game 28-0.

Mustangs @ Diggers

Mustangs are upset about last  week. It was a tough loss, but they are ready to show their dominance this week. The Mustangs get their  leading pass interceptor back from his league forced sabbatical. The Diggers will have a hard time throwing the ball this week with him and a few other DB starters coming back this week. Diggers have some speed and will be able to create yards, but the Mustangs have the four horsemen, as they call themselves up  front to stop the run, as well as some hard-hitting backers. Its Burley so its windy which means neither team will want to pass much. In the end the Mustangs stop the  Diggers, and the diggers have trouble stopping the high powered running game of the Mustangs. Mustangs 35 Diggers 3

It's about time someone started this!!

Oilers @ Vipers

I don't know much about the Vipers but the Oilers are legit and have proven themselves. What better way to usher in their 2015 AAA season than going undefeated in AA this year!!!

35-7 Oilers

Mustangs @ Diggers

Word on the street is that Mr. Carney and company gave the AA a black eye of their own by walking off the field before the customary circle around and pray... Unfortunately for the brothers Carney, the Mustangs can walk the walk and show it this week against in Burley.

32-0 Mustangs

Guardians @ Lancers

Lancers held their home opener with a bang that no one saw coming. Knocking off the diggers while keeping them out of the endzone. Are the guardians healed up enough to take the well needed short road trip to Middleton? Are the Lancers pissed off enough that they didn't secure a win last year because of the Guardians?? Will the Lancers attempt any field goals in this game? Who knows what is in store for this contest..

20 - 0 Lancers

OILERS @ VIPERS:

Whether or not this game is technically the "game of the week" or not, it is.  I sure hope the Davis advantage holds strong and the standings become a little more interesting in the upcoming weeks.  The oilers offense hasn't scored many points in the past few weeks.  In fact, since week two, Idhe has thrown four touchdowns & run for two but needed to throw nine interceptions to do so.  I know the Davis advantage is hard only getting 1 hour in the Locke roombefore the game, and the Vipers D is tough at home.  I think that Davis makes the Viper hopeful proud and enjoys the home victory in a close one  ..  Vipers 26 - Oilers 19

Mustangs @ Diggers:

Mustangs too much for the diggers who may have traded away their most talented athlete this week as they lose to a frustrated Idaho team that will take it's issues out on an easier D than they saw last week .. Mustangs 31 - Diggers 6

Guardians @ Lancers:

Lancers pull off two in a row and roll into SAS with a streak as the Guardians are just to debilitated from injuries throughout their roster to hold up and are awaiting their bye week .. Guardians 0 - Lancers 12

Here we go.....

Oilers @ Vipers

No idea how long a drive is but someone said short so I would expect the Oilers to be in full force. Ihde and crew keep the well going with another great finish.

Oilers win big 42-10

Mustangs @ Diggers

The Stangs are still trying to prove that they should be at the top of the AA and this week they do so with the Diggers coming off of a loss.

Mustangs 24-6

Guardians @ Lancers

I would love to pick this game but I'll stand back and let everyone else take their jabs.

Oilers vs vipers

Oilers
have the defense which has allowed only two touch downs in five games. So thats a plus and have a knack for making stops in key places . They also have proven that turn overs against the stingy d means they can and will take it to the house on fumbles and picks . Offensively they have struggled at times , but with idhe at qb he throws the ball extremly well and runs like a demon very very shifty. As a whole the offense doesnt do one thing Great but alot of thinks very well .

Vipers
Always have a very hard stop the team run but thats easy when they put 8 in the box and send three . What they do well is special teams blocking punts and field goals. The oilers will have to adjust to that, or can they? Offensively do they have sherwood?? Alot rides on that.

Oilers vs Vipers This gimp wont say but will say there will be some hitts given and recieved.

Mustangs vs Diggers

Mustangs coming of a huge loss to the oilers. i think the mustangs arent use to losing and will overwhelm the seeming dwindling diggers. For the mustangs this is a statement game

Mustangs 35 diggers 3

Guardians and Lancers

After playing the both this could be interesting.

The guardinas were a hard hitting team but were very soft on the right side of there defense and on special teams . Where as the lancers almost upset the oilers. Even with the oilers seemingly unable to do anything offensively that game they lost so iam giving this one to the lancers.

Travel might help this

lancers 7 guardians 6

Play like its your last play every second because it could be your last

Oilers@Vipers Oilers have a very good team this year. Really good wide receivers and a very talented quarterback. Their defense is very aggressive and are all ball hogs. Every week you see some fumble or interception for a touchdown. Vipers are always out to prove something every week. It doesn't matter who plays quarterback for us. My prediction for this game is easy, oilers pass for 3,000 yards 25 touch downs and their defense hold our offense to -250 yards and they also take 10 pics back to the house. Final score, OILERS win 300-0.

Mustangs@Diggers We all know about this mustangs team, very big. And we all know about the diggers, not so big. So this will be very one sided affair, I think the diggers offense rushes for 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns and the mustangs go back home crying... final score diggers win 69-0.

Gaurdians@Lancers MY GOTW! Hands down, the 2 best teams in AA duke it out this week. We might as well count them in to AAA next year. These teams play at an unbelievably high level. Very big, very fast, and both have NFL type quarterbacks. I can see this being a high scoring game. Final Lancers win 88-87.

Very real and very believable pics from me this week haha

My real pics though,

Viper 0 OILERS 0, mustangs 45, diggers 6, Lancers 14 guardians 6.

@Optional

What did the Diggers trade their "Most talented player" for?

Another player?

Money?

Just curious as to what a team in the RMFL would trade for a player.

That is my question.  GVQb said Diggers traded their best athlete.  Just curious the details

The "trade" was for Freddie Brown. He asked for a release because of his work wouldn't be able to get back to Burley from Montana to make anymore of their games. The diggers asked for their players fee and it had
To be done by today. He didn't have the money to get it done so a few of the GV guys pitched in since he will be in our area. So our old Snowdevil is back.

Sounds legit.

Player fee's, if i'm not mistaken, can be considered as an equal trade for a player.

I was just wondering if anything was traded at all for the player.

I am currently in trade talks with Jackie Moon for the rights to Dewey the Killer Bear for TJMaxx012, what a glorious halftime show it will be for everyone.

As long as we can play "Love Me Sexy" during warmups, I'm ok with that.

I'm pretty sure both Conetah24 and Deletions Dan would prefer "I'm a Gummi Bear" song.
