I know it's been a long time since the League Staff has posted any new information for the 2015 season. We have been working behind the scenes on finalizing a variety of boring issues (insurance, game times, player movement, officials, etc.); but many teams have already started playing preseason games and the 2015 kick off is less than 3 weeks away...
We have come to an agreement with Weber State University to host our Championship & All Star Weekend. As many of you know from the League Meeting, we have agreed upon a neutral-site Championship game this year and it will be held at Weber State. We will actually be holding FOUR games at Weber State on Saturday, June 27th: 1) AAA "Bowl", 2) All Star, 3) AA Championship, & 4) AAA CHampionship. We are still working out pricing and ticketing details with Weber State, but the plan is to offer one all-day pass (likely in the $8-$10 range) for fans to be able to attend as many or as few games as they want. We are REALLY excited to be able to host this event in a college stadium. We think it will be an excellent venue for both fans and participants.
We've also decided to tweak the All Star game and draft teams similiar to the way the NFL has done the past couple of years. We are hoping to have a live (or only slightly delayed) draft on the RMFL podcast and again provide jerseys for those players selected to the All Star game.
I know June 27th is still a long ways off, but with the season kicking off in a couple of weeks, we want teams and fans to be able to start preparing now. You will hear a lot more information from us as details are worked out throughout the season.
5 AND 6 SEED IN AAA SOUTHERN AND 5 AND 6 SEED IN AAA NORTHERN PLAY IN FIRST WEEK OF PLAYOFFS. WINNERS PLAY IN THE AAA BOWL (NORTHERN V SOUTHERN) ON CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND.
