"As a reminder, the AA Championship, AAA Bowl Game, All Star Game, and AAA Championship Game will be held June 27th at Weber State University. We will have more details as we get closer. Enjoy the last couple of weeks of regular season; it's just starting to get interesting..." Per Brad Thurber on earlier thread post 5 days ago!!!
We are still finalizing start times (and those could possibly change depending on the travel of teams involved), but most likely the start times will be as follows:
AAA Bowl Game 11:00
AA Champsionship Game 2:00
RMFL All Star Game 5:00
AAA Championship Game 8:00
The idea of having the Bowl Game and AA Championship game before the All Star game is to give guys that want to play in the All Star game the ability to do both. We are also changing how we select the All Star team this year (GMs will still submit names, but we are looking to have a "live draft" on the podcast).
Brad, it seems to me that if you want the players to have the opportunity to play in both the All Star game and the Championship Game you should have the Championship game first. If I was playing in the Championship game I wouldn't take the chance of getting hurt or tired in the All Star game played earlier, but I would probably play in the All Star Game if it came after.
That's why the All Star game is after the AA Championship & AAA Bowl Game. Our experience has been that generally the players in the AAA Championship game don't care too much about the All Star game as it is, so we made that game last. Not to mention, it will obviously be the "Main Event", so we wanted it last.
