This Saturday at 5:00 at Layton Christian Academy, some of the RMFL All Stars will be playing some of the ICFL All Stars. The genesis of the game was between the ICFL Commissioner (Randy Sisson) and I to bring some players of each of the two leagues together as a way to foster competition and camraderie. The ICFL players were gracious enough to travel to SLC this year; and the plan will be for the RMFL to travel to Boise for next year's game. Because of the location of the game this year, the RMFL players are mainly Utah-based. Next year, I would anticipate leaning more heavily on Idaho & Montana for the trip to Boise. Our experience has been it's hard to get guys to travel for these kinds of games; especially after the season.
Admission will be free and all are invited to attend. I think it will be a great event.
One of the side benefits for the RMFL was to give players (specifically the REV as league champs) an opportunity to play in an All Star style game since they didn't have the chance of playing at in the All Star game at Weber State; thus the heavy REV showing. While the roster isn't completely finsihed, I thought it might be fun for everyone to see the roster as it currently sits:
