1 - Trojans (3-0) Beat Shock 20-7, The Defense is for real, pretty much shutdown Shock offense, 7 turnovers, They are a very agressive defense and when its windy, like it often is in Vegas, its tough to move the ball. The Offense is mediocre, but good enough to win when defense gets so many turnovers. QB is actually pretty good, but receivers drop too many balls, once again, possibly wind related, or maybe they hear footsteps because of getting popped in practice by super agressive dbs. Only real question now is how do they travel? We won't find out for a couple of weeks as the Trojans play the Raiders this week.
2 - Rev (2-1) Beat Vipers 42-7, CP back seems to be getting back into form completing 78% passes for 4 TD and 1 Int. Receivers looked better with Ellington becoming the go to guy, whats happened to Eteuati? The running game still isn't where it could be, but Rev live with the pass. Defense shut down a decent Viper Offense. Next up another travel game to Vegas to play the Hawks.
3 - Shock (2-1) Took a physical beating from the Trojans losing 20-7, Travel hurt the Shock Offense as they missed a couple of starters, one on the line and blocking back Mann. Offense couldn't get moving with the combination of pass rush and wind. Run game couldn't get going. Defense played much better, certainly good enough to win if Offense could have done anything. Shock next play the physical Wildcats coming off a bye, we'll see if the Shock can come back after the beating they took last weekend.
4 - Sting (2-1) Did enough to win, beating the Raiders 16-7. Its tough traveling twice in 3 weeks, just ask the Shock. Sting beat the struggling Raiders. Nothing spectacular offensively or defensively, but Just Win Baby! Sting get a needed bye week to recuperate and get ready for the rest of the Season.
5 - Lions (1-1) Came off the bye in week 2 to put a beating on the Vegas Hawks 41-16. It looks like the Lions got their offense moving after the embarrassing showing against the Sting in Week 1. The Lions are a team to look out for the rest of the season. Next week is their first travel game up north where they meet up with the Vipers.
6 - Wildcats (1-1) Bye week, looked pretty good and physical in last game vs the Rev. Next up, it doesn't get any easier playing against the Shock.
7 - Vipers (1-1) Vipers took it on the chin against the Rev 42-7, it won't be much easier this week against the Lions.
8 - Hawks (0-3) Hawks were run over by the rested Lions last week 41-16, next up they have to travel to the Rev. First travel game for any of the Vegas teams, it will be interesting to see how well they do. Its pretty hard to get excited to travel when you're 0-3.
9 - Raiders (0-3) Beat by the Sting in a competitive game 16-7, Hopefully they are starting to turn the corner. Doesn't get any easier this week when playing #1 Trojans.
We will travel well. We have played in california leagues for years now and has not been a problem with us getting numbers there. And we are here to stay in the RMFL BIG 9. And i keep seeing the word that our offense is not that good so does that make every team we have played offense not good either. I just think defenses all have step up this year and defense wins championships. On another note first time seeing Sam Thomas and he is the truth.

I totally agree that the Trojans are here to stay. There is obviously a lot of talent there.
I heard from a couple of sources that Cammack hit at least a couple receivers right in the hands with balls that would have been sure TDs. One, a long ball early in the game and later on a slant pass at the goal line. I also hear about Cammacks mobility and wonder why he doesn't have more rushing yards when the pocket breaks down. I guess he is pass first, run second which is a good trait in my way of thinking. I also heard the wind was blowing steady 20 mph pretty much the whole game which certainly effects a passing game. Apparently it did for the Shock with 5 Int. of course the defensive pressure also had its effects ;)
I figure the Trojan Offense gets better this week against the Raiders, maybe the weather will be better too! A confidence builder could change the offense for the rest of the year.
Thomas is definitely one of the better receivers in the league, but this league has some really good players.

Yes he did hit a couple wide open receivers and they dropped it. One would have possibly been 6, the other is debatable. He also scrambles really well out of the pocket but keeps his head down field and only runs when necessary. Contain that QB, and force him to migrate up the field and you stand a good chance. Let him run around...good luck catching that dude. Very shifty QB. Props... all in all I can honestly say the Shock fell victim to quick sand.... they brought the house at the start and we never recovered...which is weird. Our team can usually adjust...for whatever reason, we could not... we fixed one issue only to cause another. Trojans played a great game and deserved the win. We fully expect them to do well...we just wish they would throw a game or two so we can play in warm Northern Utah in June and NOT the F'ing dessert ahahahahaha

Appreciate that VT football, you guys have a great team. That D line and defense is the truth. never seen a defense in this league so dominant. front 3, no front 7 is STOUT! Good luck in your future games!
I don't know, its pretty hard to put the Rev ahead of the Trojans, when the Trojans won head to head. I really think it would be a coin flip if they played again on a neutral site. I really like the parity this year, any of the top 5 teams in the Big 9 could win against any other team any given week.
How many guys are still around that know about the Rhino Raiders tho
Know about? or played against? I would imagine most guys know about them. They were a true dominant force in the RMFL glory days. I once saw an article where they played a game vs Dixie State. Not too many teams in this league can hang with a college team, or even have the (foot)balls to play a college team like that. But other than that, all I ever hear are rumors, and stories from older guys that played against/for them.

Spoke to a few of my former teammates -- and the Vegas Trojans are no joke.
Now to compare them to the Old Rhino-Raiders? Well, not to discredit the Rhino's but their competition was pretty weak back in the day. With that being said, they'd still be good today. Look at Levine with the REV. Imagine him 10 years younger with Jay, the Fiefia bros, Stroshine bros, a YOUNGER MISI, and that offense!
As far as the Rhino's "hanging" with the college teams, I'm a firm believer that Stireman and Co could've beat Snow when they played them.
Not sure about Dixie back in the day because they were pretty good, but remember when the Rhinos scheduled those exhibition games, the only team that had anything to lose was the college teams, so don't quote me -- but I think the Rhino's may have hedged a little bit in those games. All of sudden Stireman was completing 75% to a dismal 30% ... all of a sudden.
Also, by the time the Rhinos played Snow and/or Dixie it was after a tough UFL/RMFL season, plus 3 FWFA games for the Far West Football Association championship so, the whole squad wasn't always there ---and they had to pick up some guys as well.
Oh the history that Kyto and The Follower??? could bestow upon this league... in fact I would be interested in seeing such artifacts in writing actually. MAKE THAT HAPPEN would ya???? hahaha
