Not a lot of time this week so it will be just the ranking no witty comments. I'm working on a playoff picture post for tomorrow so keep your eyes peeled.
No changes in the rankings, but I added some comments.
1 - Trojans (4-0) Beat Raiders 49-0, The Defense continues to put pressure on opposing offense, this week getting 3 fumbles against the Raiders. The passing game found some consistency with Cammack completing 62% of passes, the rushing game is solid as ever. Special teams had a great day on returns. The Trojans look like they are getting it together, although we still need to remember it was against the Raiders. The Trojans now get to start the travel part of the schedule, this week going to Brigham to play the Sting.
2 - Rev (3-1) Beat Hawks 28-18, No stat posted yet, Rev still traveled to Vegas and got a win against a team that has some good players. Rev offense missed some opportunities with turnovers in the redzone, and the defense gave up some big plays but still played pretty solid. Next up the Shock at home in one of the GOTW.
3 - Shock (3-1) Beat Wildcats 35-14 in a game with a lot of turnovers on a cold, windy, rainy day. Shock offense was conservative, with Wissler completing 3 TDs to 3 different receivers, but also threw 3 INTs. Running game was solid. Defense shutdown the Wildcats getting 6 INTs returning 1 for a TD, and Special teams added a punt return for a TD. Next up, Rev in big showdown.
4 - Sting (2-1) Bye, I'm still giving the Sting the edge over the Lions because of the head to head win. The Sting had a week to get healthy and prepare for a big game against the Trojans. There are a lot of teams hoping the Sting can upset the Trojans this week.
5 - Lions (2-1) Beat Vipers 41-6 in cold windy, rainy weather. Lions apparently got better in a hurry since their loss to the Sting, and beat their last two opponents convincingly, this time on the Road with a depleted offensive line. The weather may have played into the hands of the more physical Lions and helped limit the passing game of the Vipers. Lions are looking pretty scary.
6 - Wildcats (1-2) Lost to Shock 35-14, Weather game and Wildcats didn't look very goood. Offense turned the ball over way to much and should have been more conservative at the end of the half. Out played by a better Shock team. This week they can get well against a struggling Viper team.
7 - Vipers (1-2) Vipers took it on the chin agin against the Lions 41-6, Vipers got run over by a very physical run game in lousy weather which effected the Vipers offense more than the Lions. Vipers can redeem themselves this week against a more evenly matched opponent in the Wildcats. It should be a very competitive game.
8 - Hawks (0-4) Beat by Rev 28-18. Hawks gave the traveling Rev a competitive game. Hawks have some solid skilled players and can be dangerous if overlooked. The Hawks have a bye this week to give them a week to prepare for the Raiders.
9 - Raiders (0-4) Beat by the Trojans 49-0. It doesn't get any easier this week as they have to travel to the surging Lions.
