The Outlaws have played the Cobras twice so far. With a combined score of 54 - 97, plus a road trip to SLC, its not looking very good for them. If they can bring some defensive players, they might have a chance, but I just don't see it happening.
The Cobras are averaging over 48 points against the Outlaws this season. I think they jump ahead quick, and then put in the #2s to coast to the end, and rest the #1s to start getting ready for round two.

Mustangs @ Anarchy
These two teams have faced off twice before. With such a short drive to Blackfoot, I don't see the Mustangs missing too many guys. The last time they faced off, the Anarchy won on a pick 6, 6-0.
This game could be another tough defensive struggle, as per usual with these teams.
Diggers @ Xtreme
The Diggers flexed their muscles last week, and finally pulled off a win vs the Mustangs (for the first time). With that momentum, they are hoping to head up to Montana, and pull off a win over the Xtreme. If they bring enough guys to the game, I think they could pull it off. But that's a big IF.
The Xtreme have the luxury of a home game for the first round, and hosting a team with a long travel game. The Diggers are a better team than they have been in the past, and the Xtreme need to not sleep on them.
If the Diggers show up in force, I think they have a shot of pulling off the upset in this one. If they don't, well that's on them.

Well it went like this... Diggers 14 ... Xtreme 26. Had the Extreme not committed about 200 plus penalty yards, the Diggers would not have scored a single point. I've never seen so many 15 yard penalties in one game in all my life. The Diggers first touchdown came after more then 40 yards of defensive penalties against the Xtreme. It was a rariety for the Diggers to get a first down, maybe having 5 or 6 the entire game. Their second TD came when an intercepted pass by the Extreme was fumbled near the goal line and barely recovered by one of the Diggers. The Xtreme should have scored about 2 or 3 additional TDs but penalties took them away.
Dumb coaching led to our first touchdown. Went for it on 4th down on your own 15 yard line. And most of your penalties were warranted. We struggled on offense, yes. But your offense wasn't doing much better. 2 big plays made the difference, hats off for the players who made them. Other than that it would have been much closer, and had we traveled better, or had Ken negotiated on the start time of the game (if the game had been at 5 or sooner we would have had 5 key players) it would have been a much different game. I am not making excuses. They beat us. Clap, clap, clap. But Donald Nelson makes it sound like they destroyed us. And anyone watching could tell you that was not the case.
